The part of that play that important is right after the snap when Kap sees Dunbar going over the pile. The Rams guessed he would try and do the Brees leap and so sent Dunbar to try and hit him high, and it seemed like that distracted Kap and made him lose his handle on the ball

fwiw I do think it was a TD but there's just no way to know, and he did fumble the ball before hitting the ground, so I see how the officials can call it as they did

And of course Roman never using Gore. Probably the biggest goat of the game

We are not really a hot mess. the Jets are a hot mess. We are more like a tad disorganized. Which can be fixed by putting Mallett in at QB while we are on a bye week, lock Clowney in a room with JJ so he can punch him in the face and then beat the damn Browns.

Franchise QBs cannot be traded while they're just hitting there prime.

The football Gods decided in 2009 that the Lions would draft Matthew Stafford with the #1 and the Jets would take Mark Sanchez at #5. And then Josh Freeman goes #18 or something to the Bucs. Oh yeah and HoHoyer went in the 2nd round.

A four-and-a-half minute interview didn’t get any brighter, except when the soft-spoken Johnson joked where he planned to spend his off days during a bye week.

“I just need to go to like an island or something,” Johnson said.

Asked about Eagles cornerback Cary Williams’ postgame comments that Johnson appeared disengaged Sunday, the receiver said he was doing what he normally does during a game.

“I’m trying to help the team win,” Johnson said. “But I only can do what I can do. I can’t control everything. I only can control what I can. That’s it. I can’t block. I can’t cover guys. I can’t throw the ball. All I can do is run routes and try to get open and catch the ball.”

Has Johnson been open and not been receiving the ball?

“I don’t know,” he said. “You watched the game.”

Johnson said he’s frustrated because the Texans are losing and he’s aware of his talent at his position.

“It is what it is,” Johnson said.

Does he see a light at the end of the tunnel?

“I don’t know,” Johnson said. “We’ll see.”

Will he address his situation with Texans coach Bill O’Brien?

“I don’t really think there’s much to talk about,” said Johnson, who added that a quarterback change is out of his control.

As for Williams questioning his effort and intensity Sunday?

“Maybe they see something I don’t see,” Johnson said.

The roster churn this next off season will be vast IMO. BOB is playing with pieces to Kubiaks ZBS system even though he doesn't run a ZBS heavy system. In all honesty he has done a pretty good coaching job with what he was giving and fitting his system to it.

Chris Myers is the first one to go. Too damn undersized at center to be in any offense other than a ZBS. He is just getting manhandled in one on ones vs big NT's. He will probably wind up where ever Kubiak gets his next head coaching gig which will be next season.

That's the truth. Can't expect a coach to turn a team around in one season. He has to have time to get the players that fit his scheme. He needs a draft or two with his stamp on it. Get rid of the old administration's stench. Next year is our year!
