NFL 2015 Divisional |OT| - A Fraud Divided

Since I can't find numbers before 2003 this is what I was able to get:

Passing as Percentage of Offense

Reid
2003 - 2012

2003: 56.88%
2004: 60.75%
2005: 64.56%
2006: 57.66%
2007: 59.79%
2008: 60.35%
2009: 61.49%
2010: 59.11%
2011: 56.66%
2012: 61.72%

Average over 10 years: 59.89%

Season High: 64.56%
Season Low: 56.66%

Chip
2013 - 2015

2013: 52.97%
2014: 57.82%
2015: 59.84%

Average over 3 years: 56.87%

Season High: 59.84%
Season Low 52.97%

Difference between the two on average: +3.02% Reid
Difference between highest seasons: +4.72% Reid
Difference between lowest seasons: +3.69% Reid
Thanks for the numbers, fellas.

Considering the WCO is based on the short passing game and Chip's offense uses misdirection runs for the same purpose... reid having an extra 3% seems entirely reasonable to me.

Let's talk about Doug Pederson and his merits.

The dude has only been a offensive coordinator for 3 years on a primarily defensive team. Chiefs offense has been bad for awhile and this year might be the first time it jumps into the mediocre-tier. Is there anything to be excited about especially since you still have Howie running the show?

We're not Washington.

Chip is fine with Kaep, and if Shurmur stays I'm pretty sure Bradford would want to stick around as well. The main thing he wanted was continuity, and with Shurmur, he'd get some of that.

Chip has Kaep, guy.
Yeah, except Kaep isn't what he wants in a QB.

We are talking about Andy Reid's tenure in Philly while we are ass deep in the playoffs?

Cause apparently he should coach Eagles forever despite 14 years and no SB.

And the DeSean cut was terrible as we can see. He helped the Racists win the division where as your best WR threat was Riley Cooper who was still better than Chip's WR pick in Nelson Agholar.

Wrong again. Don't know why you care so much when you know so little about the eagles. Losing Desean didn't hurt the Eagles cause they had Maclin and drafted Mathews. Offense was still humming last year. And Desean didn't do shit to help Washington win last season. He was also hurt most of this season and Washington only won cause Cousins developed and guys like Reed emerged.

Maclin wasn't allowed to leave or let go. He left in FA for 2 million per year more plus a chance to play in his hometown. He had no animosity towards Chip and had his best season under Chip.

And again was let go and went to KC.. You know when Chipper there had full control from Howie and could have kept him if he made a good deal or you know actually tried to manage his players. But decided to go play for his old coach and his hometown team instead of staying at a team he played his entire career.

I thought the smoothies were magic? They didn't work on Jeremy but were going to work on Sam. Does Melanin play a part or something?

Again not let go. That implies cut. And they were so aware of what they lost they drafted a WR in the first round. Eagles did make a good deal. Are you dense. KC just gave him 2 million more.

Smoothies didn't work on Jeremy? What are you talking about? He tore his ACL in preseason in Chip's first season. Non contact drill. What are you talking about?

Overall Eagles were healthiest team in the league during Chip'so time.

Bradford also played 14 games which is a lot considering people thought he wouldn't make it out of preseason.

Correct it was one bad season like Andy had when you all canned him after the last bad season and he took your franchise further than you all had under Chip.

And even if Howie played a role (which I will take your word for it.), you think Chip would make sure that he would, you know, not fuck up.

Sure.. Considering y'all are sitting at home on the couch trying to scramble to put something together.

And I said poised as they are one game away from playing for the AFC Championship. Potentially two games away from the Super Bowl.

Again you are clueless as fuck. Stick to whatever team you root for.

Reid was on a downward trend and they fired him after 14 seasons, after multiple rebuilds, and multiple attempt to find McNabb'so replacement. It was time to move on. Reid went 8-8 and then 4-12 after the invested heavily in Vick and signed every available FA.

How are you comparing accomplishments achieved over 14 seasons with a franchise qb in place to 3 years where they are trying to find a qb? How is that a fair comparison?

Man the hate for Chip is strong. To the point people are glossing over basic facts like Reid's time here was done. His son had just overdosed after trying to clean up his life as a drug dealer. His other son was in jail for the same reason. Eagles were losing and getting worse every year. And it was years fucking 14. Last time they were a 1st or 2nd overall was 2004. He was fired in 2013.

It was time to move on. The fact it didn't work with Chip doesn't make that decision retroactively incorrect.

Coughlin was just forced out and he won SBs. Gruden was fired. Brian Billion forced out. Another SB winner. Teams move on after its obvious team is not improving. Reid lasted longer then them all.

I just don't get it.

KC/Pats game is a legit toss up, Pitt needs the any given Sunday more.

Pats are favored in most models I've seen. Bing predictive model has them at 64%. Not really a toss by some of these models. But yeah in terms of feel, sure it could be a toss up.

Never heard of Bing predicts. Seems cool. Only 50% last week though.

What other models are you looking at?

Doug Pederson is the new coach? Well that was anti-climatic. But maybe he'll be the new Reid who knows. Now I want to see the new coordinators and the Bradford decision

Fear of a GAF Planet
Brock Osweiler is a Fraud

NSFGodslay

Osweiler was best friends with John Elway’s son at Arizona State. The two had dormed near each other and grew as friends throughout their final few years of college. It goes without saying that John himself would have gotten to know Osweiler, or at least become fond of him for his friendship with his son. Whether or not this was truly the reason Osweiler was picked so high and had a lot of faith put into his play is uncertain, but the evidence is there.
..
Osweiler deserved to be pulled. Not necessarily for that game in particular, but for his performance in the six full starts prior. He is not a bad quarterback. That is not the point that needs to be made. Rather, it is that he is not worthy of starting quarterback money come this off-season and does not deserve an immediate starting job in Denver or elsewhere next year. His play has resembled that of a quality backup, not a quality starting quarterback. And that is okay. The league is desperate for good backup quarterbacks so that we no longer have to see Kellen Moore start professional football games.

More so than anything else, it is Osweiler’s mental aptitude and internal clock that restrict him from being a starting quality quarterback. Osweiler too often seems to operate a full second behind the play. This rears its ugly face most commonly in the face of pass rushers. When Osweiler’s predetermined throw is open and he feels comfortable throwing it, his aversion of pressure is impressive. Though, when that read is stripped from him and he is forced to find an alternative target, Osweiler can not juggle looking for a new receiver while also keeping himself out of harm’s way. This lead to an increased amount of sacks versus when Manning was behind center. In Manning’s 10 performances, he was sacked 16 times, while Osweiler was sacked 23 times in 8 performances. For the most part, this root’s in Osweiler having a middling internal clock and mental processing to quickly adapt to his first read being blanketed.

No word yet on whether they plan to exhume Jim Johnson's corpse to be defensive coordinator.
