My high school is playing for the state championship tonight!

My high school was number one in the state of North Carolina in their division.

And lost their opening game of the playoffs at home last night.

It's crazy though, they used to be perennially garbage, I mean, really Browns-like before I went there and all through my four years there.

But since I left they've won one state title, lost another in the championship game, and now have had three undefeated regular seasons in five years.

Yeah, that's why getting that number 1 seed is huge.

The Panthers literally froze to death in Minnesota last year, and I have no desire to repeat that in the playoffs.

Although playing in Arizona would be fine. Everyone makes a big deal of the Panthers getting the home game against the Cardinals in the playoffs last year, I would have much rather played them in a nice toasty dome in Glendale, than in chilly, wet Charlotte in January.
