I love TJ but he is a career back up at best. Place him in a glass box and break it if the Bengals ever actually threaten someone.

He very well could be. If you have a star QB and he goes down without a decent backup, your season is fucking hosed with few exceptions.
Look at Dallas for example. Romo goes out, the team essentially faceplants into a losing streak because they lack a quality QB of any sort.
Sad to see Waddle gone from the Lions. He had a lot of promise as a rookie prior to his ACL tear last year.
Some team next year might make a heck of a score picking up Waddle on the cheap.

Nobody in this draft is a starter right away. Unite the two parts of Papa Johns ad crew for a couple years, and build you a starter behind Papa Peyton. Can't lose.

Yeah generally you'd hope your backup QB would at least allow you to go .500. Dallas had some pretty major issues this season though.
