NFL 2015 Week 3 |OT| - A Fraud Finds His League

I don't understand the benefit of going with Josh McCown over Johnny Manziel. I don't see how he gives them a better chance to win.

It won't be that bad...They have a few weeks to right the ship, Colts will be home, Luck will be able to move the ball on Pats and put points on the board, keeping it to perhaps a single digit win by the Pats.

Yeah I kid. We just cannot get pressure which I'm most concerned about. The defense has been better than the offense this year so I give them that. I think we have like 8-9 turnovers on the year, but have only given up like 46 points in total. Should be a lot more based off possessions lost. So to his credit, he is coaching Vontae and a few washed up guys on D and getting some results. Albiet, against low to decent quality offenses.

I think 3 weeks of playing the AFCC will give Colts time to shape up some even if we lose some of those games, but Pagano has looked like a train wreck leading this team. Taking shots at the gm and subtle disdain towards Luck's habits the 2nd week of the season just reeks of an ill experienced coach (he knows that he is likely gone anyway). Luck deserves blame, but at the same time, his habits are a direct result of a shit team and bad coaching. A good coach would've started working on these habits a long time ago and a good GM wouldn't have half assed this O-line for years.

"This is his 4th year, he should be used to it by now." LOL, used to carrying this garbage team? It's like they agreed that Luck was mobile and has great pocket presence so they decided to go cheap on the line. Our last worthwhile linemen that was drafted was by Polian when Manning still played for us lol. Ever since Luck has had 3-5 replacements at ever other position on the line besides LT. Awful.

I know it's mostly a shot at Grigson, but please, your offensive system is garbage, and gives him no room to succeed consistently and has developed ugly habits because of it. Personnel issues every where, not exposing blatant mismatches, etc etc. Some of that is on the QB, but he is acting like they've made moves to help Luck progress. Sill looks like it's his second year.

I don't see how Manziel does either tbh. Aren't both of their contracts pretty similar in cost and duration?

The future is fail.

I wanted Bortles, and I really thought they were going to draft him given some of the connections between O'Brien and Bortles college coach. If they didn't draft Bortles 1 overall, I wanted them to trade down and get more picks.

I panned the Clowney pick, even got on the air on 610 sports radio to pan the pick! Guess the only team in the last 15 years to draft a defensive linemen/pass rusher with the over all number 1 pick? The Texans, and guess what, they've fucking done it twice.

The connection between Bortles, GOL and O'Brien is what I thought would put them over the edge and draft him first. Especially since they haven't had decent QB play in quite some time.

On the other hand, Mack is a monster and would be a scary addition to its defense if he was paired with Watt.

Are those the guys that go into the hood to start shit and yell prank to get that YouTube money and make black people look bad at the same time?

I was just watching that video yesterday for some reason.

I'm about 98% sure that those videos are fake as shit.

wow, what a shit slate of games. Who wants to watch Chicago get drummed by the Seahawks?

And I hate when the Texans play the NFC, fucking FOX's signal is ass.

The Fox TV reception actually comes in though. CBS is hard to get. I had to set up a rabbit ear antenna outside on ladder, and a cord through my window to me TV.

The things we do not to have cable TV :\

Oh and the only coax going into the house, is my comcast internet.

Let's hold up on the lusting for Mack over Clowney. Guy is coming off major surgery that has ended more careers than athletes recover from. This is basically his rookie year and he has been a bright spot in these first two games.

I was worried he would be a pass rush specialist only but he has already shown not only a willingness to set the edge but he is pretty damn good at it. He has slowly played more snaps each week so I would expect around week 5 to see a full game.

Guess who the Texans play then?

For me it's just being tired of having mediocre linebackers. Cushing was pretty good a few years ago before he blew his knee and was pregnant, but now he's the best of our bad linebackers.

If Clowney works out..great.

But currently they put 5 guys on Watt, and we still can't get pressure. Somebody help the man.

Over training syndrome. Is real. Have sympathy for the man.

I wasn't rerring to the signal to the house, I was referring their football coverage signal, which is ass.

That said I do have problems picking up FOX via antenna. I bought a moho curve and it wouldn't pick up FOX at all, I built a homemade antenna and it picks up FOX pretty well, its crazy. The curve would pick up CBS, NBC, and ABC no problem.

fans of one of the teams playing don't count.

I think he is a physical freak and he's obviously still developing since he only played 4 games last year. But my main problem would have been with any defensive player overall number 1. And like I said I wanted Bortles. Even let him sit a full year, I would have been fine with that.

I am always talking about how the Dolphins have been a finesse team under Philbin. More of that:

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-dolphins-omar-column-0923-20150922-story.html

When it's time to impose their will, the Philbin-led Dolphins politely raise their hands and ask for permission. At least that's how they have played so far this season, getting pushed around at the line of scrimmage against Washington and Jacksonville.

The Dolphins are averaging 58 rushing yards per game, the third-worst running attack in the NFL after two weeks.

I don't really care how it happens but a team should probably have some good plays in the playbook for 3rd/4th and short. CRAZY I KNOW.

I mean, it's a weird complaint to me I guess. Not yours so much as the article.

Is this inherently bad?

good news for the eagles run game

@brookob
DeMarco Murray left practice with a hamstring injury. More running woes for Eagles.

Rushing yards per game isn't as important as yards per attempt so it's maybe not inherently bad but it's a sign of a very one dimensional offense which is usually a bad thing. Tannehill is not Aaron Rodgers, he needs a little help.

The running game has been letting him down in a few major ways. The first is negative plays or very short yardage gains, setting up 2nd or 3rd and long. The second is failed attempts on short yardage situations which has killed quite a few drives.

I'm looking everywhere for a site that tracks 3rd/4th and 1 (or 3rd/4th and short) but I can't find one. I can't imagine the Dolphins rate highly in that category during the Philbin era, and that is a problem.

Clowney is basically learning a new position too, right? He played defensive line in college, not linebacker. I think he's done well so far. Note that the second best pass rushing DE in that draft was Kony Ealy, and he's done less than nothing so far for the Panthers, despite being given every opportunity with Hardy gone and our other starting DE tearing his achilles.

I almost feel bad for the Eagles but damn it's almost like every criticism made about the Eagles in the offseason has come true.

Byron Maxwell is only good in a system....

Demarco Murray was only good because of Dallas's offensive line..

Bradford? lol

etc.
