Just saw that ASJ is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a sprained shoulder.

Fuck. He seemed to be one of Winston's favorite targets this early part.

I obviously didn't watch the game and I'm sure both teams got shafted somehow but this is the second week in a row Stafford got killed (which is the o-lines fault) but no flags. The original hit against San Diego by Melvin Ingram was a clear helmet to helmet roughing the passer that got no call. Lions fans are rightfully pissed about some of these no calls.

The hit above took place early in the second quarter on a quick pass to Calvin Johnson. The play doesn't really look malicious but contact is clearly made to Stafford's head while he's in a defenseless position. That is a penalty the referees have been looking to crack down on in the last couple of years, but this one slipped through the cracks. Stafford was very slow to get up.

I'm on my phone so I cant post the gif but that's a clear roughing the passer, helmet to helmet on Stafford that for whatever reason does not get called.

There were several others that Pride of Detroit gave a fair analysis of IMO. One where Megatron was kind of walking towards the sideline and got pushed. He was still in bounds so he was fair game.

No doubt about what you said about Stafford taking hits and the o-line getting fixed. The problem is I don't see how our o-line gets fixed. LaAdrian Waddle will be coming back from ACL surgery at RT and Riley Reiff has been playing bad at LT.

The interior of the line is a solid, young group.

I'll wait and see Sunday night but I'm going to chalk this one up to the offensive play calling (Joe Lombardi) I hope we adjust because like you said Stafford will be hauled off in front of a National TV audience.

We just can't afford this 5-7 step drop back plays that take 5+ seconds to develop. Lombardi has to go or Coach Caldwell has to take over and simplify the offense.

Either way I expect this team to come out and fight no matter the circumstances Sunday Night.

I think Goff is someone you tank for. He understands the game within the game. His commitment to unyielding accuracy is rare in such a young quarterback. He also strikes a nice balance of attacking a defense and taking what the defense gives him. If I were the Colts I'd be highly interested in him.

No doubt, but when you abandon the run and throw 53 times while under pressure you are going to get creamed a few times.

If the eagles got stafford at QB I would serious kill someone. He is literally the worst possible fit for this offense. I would take Foles a million times first. And I hate that fucker.

Luck isn't the problem in Indy it's the trash that's surrounding him that's the problem. The only player on offense they have is TY. Outside of that they have Gore and Andre two players at the end of careers. Build him a oline and get him some young players at the skill positions and he will do great. The only reasons to get rid of luck would be to get low draft picks to start rebuilding. Even then it's only worth it if you can acquire franchise qb either thro the draft or via trade. The sad thing is Indy will pay luck big and won't be able to spend more on other players insuring he's stuck with players at the end of their careers.

Easy 4-0 start to the season

Then we have the dreaded Seahawks,Iggles,Lucks, Pack, BS, BS, Cowboys stretch.

But even that stretch looks easier than it did when the schedule first came out.

We'll keep that Seahawks game close until some bullshit happens that causes us to lose just like every other time we play them.

And Green Bay will beat the shit out of us.

But the Eagles and Colts look way worse than they did on paper, and the Cowboys may be missing their QB AND best receiver by the time we play them.

-I am looking forward to the end of the year when the Eagles start leaking exactly why the offense is different this year. Lots of people are saying it's scaled down and predictable. Cromartie has said they are going slower this year. Too many new players? Lack of running QB?

Chip can say it is execution, but it sure seems like that QB PA where he reads the backside defender and gives or pulls the ball out of the RB's belly could be useful. Even Peyton runs that

Houston Texans

I see the Texans beating out the Indianapolis Colts for the AFC South title for a few reasons. First, no team has ever made the playoffs after getting off to an 0-2 start for a second straight season, as the Colts just did. Second, Houston is as good or better than Indy at every position other than quarterback. Signal caller is, of course, not a strength for the Texans, with Ryan Mallett and Brian Hoyer not providing anything more than mediocre play, but Bill O'Brien is one of the better coaches in this league, and I think he'll find a way to overcome that weakness.

The bottom line is, this team has talent everywhere else, not least in the form of defensive monster J.J. Watt, while the Colts have serious roster holes to deal with. Plus, running back Arian Foster should be back at some point to pick up the running attack. I like Houston's schedule, and I see the Texans taking this division with nine wins.

And for the 3 weeks before that my back was killing me after my son decided to pretend I was a bad guy and kicked the fuck out of it.

Its nice not worrying about money for the most part but I miss being young and being able to maintain an erection for weeks on end and not knowing what arthritis was.

They are definitely going slower this year. I believe that they already have 3 delays of game this year. No way did they have that many last year after 2 games.

He seems to sub Cooper and Celek on and off a lot. I know they are supposed to be the better blockers, but even Celek is having a bad time of it this year

I get that the tempo would pick up as they get first downs, which they aren't doing. I wish there was a way to filter for 3rd down drops. Those are the worst of all worlds b/c there's no chance to overcome them. Not that I am in any way putting the problems on those

I am probably stupid but I try to avoid medicine as much as possible.

I feel like in most instances the natural way of dealing with shit is always the hardest and best.

Back hurts? Blast that core and do some yoga instead of taking pain killers.

Boner not as explosive as you would like? Stop having sex for a few days and all of a sudden you are a budding teenager again. Viagra might be better in this instance but I prefer the natural method.

Wife not sexing as much as you would like? The easy method involves a prostitute or self molestation. Otherwise you have to work to get that shit (unless you are lucky and married a freak).
