Hawks were running a lot of Dime in OTAs with Browner at a hybrid LB/S position. Part of that might have been because KJ Wright was out since his wife just gave birth, but I imagine we'll be seeing that more this season.

Seattle D has been a pretty simple scheme the past few years but it's kinda interesting to see them incorporating different schemes. Having Rubin, Reed, Avril, and Bennett on the D-line (with Hill and Jefferson on passing downs) should allow for more Nickel/Dimes. Frank Clark seems to be in line to play Bruce's role from last year. Having Browner line up against TE should help, we were terrible against TE's last year. Good depth with Marsh, KPL, etc as well.

Might be the deepest defense we've had since 2013.

When you are stacked with talent you should keep it simple.

When your team used to be good you could generate a pass rush without a blitz and could cover receivers man to man. That makes it extremely fucking hard on the offense to move the ball unless you can just bully them and run it down their throat.

I really hope the steelers really remember this and just spam the same 8 plays over and over again with Bell, Brown and whoever the 3rd wheel is going to be.

Did you read that interview today with Rob and Rex Ryan, and how Rob Ryan tried to emulate Seattle's defense in NO? Obviously failed miserably because they had like no talent, but goes to show that teams try to copycat even without similar assets *shakes head

Yup. Biggest question in my mind is who the other corner is. Could be Lane, could be Simon.

That sounds like Rob but I figured Rex would stick to his system no matter what.

Rex is one of the few coaches in the league who can consistently scheme pass pressure which maintaining coverage due to the scheme and not the talent of the players. Rob is one of the few assistant coaches in the league whose best attribute is his ability to eat donuts. Usually most coaches have a speciality that involves something to do with football.

Kind of a Wussle situation where he got his degree and then transferred and played elsewhere. And it would make sense if he's actually really good. Manziel is one of the 5 best college QBs I have ever seen. Showers could be awesome but no one would have ever noticed. Didn't really light the world on fire at UTEP, though

Blizzard can't stop people from posting that kind of shit. It's being going on long before Overwatch and will continue long after it. This is just a token gesture to show that they tried.
