What do your Squicken senses tell you about Kaepernick? You were right on about Hernandez from the very outset.

Worried, man. Hate to think the worst, but when it is several guys .... I like Kap and hope for the best. Hernandez always seemed like a loser, but then Ray Rice was Man of the Year so you never really know

@mattbarrows: 49ers WR Quinton Patton and Seahawks WR Ricardo Lockette also are part of the investigation by Miami Police.

According to a Miami PD report, the incident in question occurred April 1 at Ricardo Lockette's apartment in Miami. Story coming:

In a Seahawks player apartment.

Some further tidbits from the McShay mock.

- Between Bortles and Clowney for Texans.
- Raiders only like Bortles at #5 if they take a QB there.
- Norv Turner likes Manziel and Bridgewater.
- No CB worth a Top 10 pick.
- If Bridgewater falls outside Top 10 most likely spots are Tennessee (11), Arizona (20), Cleveland (26).

@AdamSchefter
Once it is signed, Browns figure to match Jacksonville's five-year offer sheet to C Alex Mack "in no time at all", per source.

NFL.com has compiled news stories on it and suggests it'll be 18-20m guaranteed over the first two seasons with a provision that Mack himself can void it after 2 years. Sounds to me they expect the Browns to match. Jags doing the hard work for us?

Exactly. The Browns were going to match any offer. The opt out after 2 years means nothing, 2 years in the NFL is a long time. This was a brilliant move by Farmer- since they couldn't work out a long term deal, let Mack shop around, find the best long term deal, then match it. I think this is even a better deal for the Browns than if Mack signed with them under the transition tag.

It's just hard to imagine Clowney not going first, be it HOU or a trade partner. I'm really starting to wonder if the Teddy stuff is just a big smokescreen. He and JFF are the only QBs to even consider in the top 10 imo

Thanks for posting this Wes. Looking at his top 5, it looks likes something a blogger trying to get hits would write up. Mainly picks 2 and 3. I highly doubt Jacksonville as Gata as they are, can afford to draft a non playmaker with their pick. They needs butts in those seats.

He'll be as big as Jamarcus Russell faster than Weeden qualified for AARP following being drafted by the Browns.

The great part about one of those QBs falling to us is even if they aren't quite ready to start yet like say Bortles, they wouldn't on our team anyway, Palmer is our QB for this year. I would think either of those top guys would really benefit from sitting on the bench and learning for a year and they'd be ready to step up and start when we move on from Carson, might even be two years. I'd think Bortles could be a pretty solid starter under Arians with one to two years learning under his belt. Teddy is a no brainer here.

I think I'd prefer a TE or LB at 19 now, we can get a OT in the 3rd round.

I can't see any universe where the Browns or Jags don't draft a QB i the first.

Jags were decent with Henne in the 2nd half last year. I bet gus would much rather stock up on good players rather then reach for a QB then wont be ready until the next coach is hired.

Same stuff happened with crabtree last offseason. I won't believe anything until Miami police actually charge him with something. I need a little more to go off then some TMZ article

Have a hard time believing the Bucs take a WR other than Watkins with the seventh pick. Especially since they don't seem to think Glennon is their guy.

http://blogs.sacbee.com/49ers/archi...stigated-in-suspicious-incident-in-miami.html

According to the report, the incident occurred April 1 when a woman went to Lockette's apartment in Miami at 9 p.m. Kaepernick and Patton were there, and the woman made drinks and served shots to the players. She was also told "to drink the shots she had to 'hit' the bong which contained marijuana," the report said.

The report continues to say that the woman felt light headed and went to a bedroom where she was later joined by Kaepernick, with whom she had a sexual relationship in the past. Kaepernick then left the bedroom. The two did not have sex, she said in the report. The report says that Patton and Lockette peeked inside the bedroom and that the woman yelled at them to get out.

According to the report, the woman does not remember anything about the night after that. She woke up in a hospital bed the following morning not knowing how she got there. The woman, whose name is redacted, reported the incident to police on April 3.

Watkins likely won't be on the board at #7. Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson would make for a formidable duo, and make a lot of sense for a team that needs to put Josh McCown in the absolute perfect situation in order for him to succeed. Evans and Jackson are a good facsimile of what Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery offered him last season.

Just like the Crabtree incident this is baseless! Niners set this up to Jew him down in contract negotiations

With that said, I hope kap goes to jail so blame can take His rightful place as our starting qb

:jnc unfortunately had the same thought.

In happier news - I have my first review! 4/5 stars!
I didn't have a chance to start your book, but I will try and post an epic 5/5 review.

Last book I read was the Long Ships and it was excellent. I can't believe it is a translated book. Makes me wonder how good it is in the original language.

This is the man spoken of in the scripture, in the Tomes of Tebow. The man who will dethrone the Patriots and the Seahawks and take his rightful place as the Second Coming of Montana.

It would be amazing if you had to roll with Gabbert against us. Speaking of off season problems, still nervous about what kind of punishment D Wash will get. It was a huge blow to have him out 4 games last year and he could easily miss that much again, if not more. Should get his punishment and the reg season schedule revealed around the same time frame so I can project how much of an impact it will have. So damn irritating.

They have been surprisingly quiet about Bortles. Interesting if he is their guy. I wouldn't be a big fan of that pick, but at least he could sit a year behind Schoob and not be thrown in the fire immediately to fail.
