Too lazy to check the thread again, but were Kave's heroics discussed?

That's Ed Reed type speed!

Shit. Good on the cat.

The Heat are not as good as they were 2 years ago when they steamrolled OKC.

Wade is a shadow of himself. Lebron is not as dominant. The only player who is better is Bosh. They don't have the depth they used to either. They are definitely vulnerable.

That said I still don't know if OKC could beat them. The heat just seem tougher mentally to me. If the Spurs are healthy I could see them embarrassing Miami.
Spurs have a great shot but I just have a bad feeling.

Lebron is not as dominant? Didn't he just have 49 the other night?

I feel like he can be dominant whenever he needs to be. The first round didn't call for it and even the Nets game besides these last two were not close.

Their depth is worse. Mike Miller was a huge loss. Don't get why they didn't do all they could to keep him over other 3 point specialists like James Jones or Rashard Lewis. I know Spo likes to play with lineups but I feel like they seem more dominant and aggressive whenever he inserts Haslam into the starting line up. Bring Battier off the bench. Helps with their lack of rebounding too.

Let's root for the Heat together brother!

...Holy shit.

Btw, you were right about the Jones' not wanting to bring a circus to Dallas.

My bad for the Ealy pick in GAF's mock. We had Donald, Barr, Shazier and Martin as possible choices, just didn't know where they would rank them. How did you feel about the draft?
Yeah we might have been caught up in some mock draft hype in regards to Jernigan and Ealy. I think the Cowboys had a pretty solid draft overall. I remember saying I didn't like Martin due to his lack of athletecism, but that really won't matter much if he plays LG instead of tackle. I don't really like them trading away picks so demarcus lawrence better be a beast. The rest of the picks were really good aside from some questionable OLB selections. They drafted a couple and signed some more OLBs as UDFAs so hopefully they'll be able to find a guy or two out of that crapshoot.

Holy shit that "girl touched me" thread.

I'm in a similar situation except she was grabbing at my dick at the bar and I got her number (because that's the least you should do if a girl is touching you), yet I couldn't get her to come back to my place. I have to admit that my followup over text message game is very sub par, so I doubt I'll get any despite how theoretically easy it should be after that point.
Actually, when I think about it, last night I hit several virgin gaf poster tropes including holding a drunken married woman's hand on the way to the after-party bar. She was definitely looking for extramarital affair but I'm desperately not that desperate.
Also there was this one girl who approached me earlier in the night to sing with her friend and her. She came to say goodbye before her group left but wasn't into me enough to give me her number without me prompting for it, so I let her leave because I probably would never call her. Which is totally on me, as I was mostly only being friendly towards her and easily could have tried a little harder. Now we'll never see each other again, much like your classmate and you if you never ask her out.
Then there was the final girl (a roommate of a friend of a friend) who I was making out with during a piggyback ride which, by the way, is as awkward as it sounds. I still couldn't seal the deal. Upon reflection I totally missed the whole "I want to smoke at my place" signal being sent my way, but I wanted to go home.
As an aside, a group of people mistook me for being gay so I kept introducing my buddy as my gay lover to perpetuate it for some drunken reason. This had the unintended side effect of making the first girl that I mentioned who was actually really hot and was flirting with every guy at the bar suddenly interested in a three way because she was confused by my sarcasm.
Last night was fun, hope this helps op.

I am a bit optimistic about some of the UDFAs making the team.

L'Damian Washington WR. Dude is like 6'4", runs a 4.4 40 on a bad day. Grantland ran a story about him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_j85Bg4Ecoo . I will definitely be rooting for the guy.

J.C. Copeland FB. Described as a bowling ball lead blocker. Physical but needs to clean up his technique. Glad to see the Cowboys trying to go back to utilizing a FB. I think Murray is most effective behind a lead blocker.

Davon Coleman DT. Apparently the Cowboys feel he is a better under tackle than Will Sutton. Versatile enough that he can also play 1-tech.

Chris Whaley DT. Explosive and athletic. Has a problem maintaining his weight and is very raw. However, the Cowboys staff compared him to Henry Melton.

The 7th round was also pretty solid in my opinion. DE Ben Gardner, S Ahmad Dixon, and CB Terrence Mitchell. I feel like these players also have a good chance at making the team and contributing.

Edit: I should add that I agree the draft was solid. However it is probably going to be known for the trade and whether it was worth it. I know I would rather have Brockers and Wagner right now than Claiborne. Hoping I won't say same thing about Lawrence and the players the Cowboys were going to pick at their original spot. I think Devin Street is a good pick up. The Cowboys had a third round grade on him, came from a pro style offense and knows the route tree. Can also play inside. Anthony Hitchens? They may have reached, but he seems like an adequate back up for Lee, and a ST contributor. The Cowboys said Hitchens had a higher grade than Holloman and Holloman was pretty solid last year. They also think he is versatile enough to play all three LB positions.

I really do like the Martin pick. I also feel like if they do plug him in at RG, Free's play should improve as well. I remember when Waters went down last year, Free's play suffered. I am stoked that if the Cowboys extend Tyron (which is probably a given), them Cowboys will have an amazing line for at least 4 years. All in all, I truly expect the Cowboys to compete and fulfill their destiny of maintaining their mediocre 8-8 record.

What school do you go to chris? I've been considering USC for my MA.

That or going to school overseas, but idk if I want to pile on the debt or not, and take that dumb test (if I stay in the states), yet.

My logic was, this is the only time in my life that somebody is going to give me a loan to live in a different country...

That's pretty great thinking lol. I mean, it's not too bad for me now. I actually got through my first 2yrs debt free, I think a lot of programs overseas are also shorter and may cost less than some of the grad schools here (of course it varies).

Holy shit is graduate school expensive here.

Yeah. My Masters program in Ireland is 1 year 3 full semesters fall, spring, summer. It's not cheap either but that is mostly due to housing and cost of living.

Final Assessment: Remediation. Kudos to Panthers general manager David Gettleman for putting family first and attending his son's graduation on Day Three of the draft. Next time, he should put family really first by spending draft weekend at home making pancakes and watching the sunset, leaving someone in charge who will pick players the Panthers can actually use in 2014. This was an ugly draft, capping one of the worst offseasons I have ever seen a playoff team inflict upon itself. When the Panthers are 5-11 next year, people will straight-facedly blame it on Cam Newton's regression, ignoring the fact that Peyton Manning could not make this receiving corps serviceable. If Gettleman is one of those Cam-blamers, Panthers fans, be terrified.

Hardy 911 Call No. 1

"I’m running around the table right now. She’s trying to hit me with her shoe," Hardy says on the call. "Ah s—t. She broke some glass. F—. F—! She’s trying to hit me with another shoe. I’m behind the bar. I’m not touching her. My manager’s retaining her. She’s still trying to get me."

Hardy then states that his girlfriend "won't let" him close the door to his apartment and she "hit me in the face twice."

"She won’t let me close the door. I can’t touch her to get her out. She’s literally kicking and scratching. My manager’s retaining her," Hardy says. "She tried to hit me once, she hit me in the face twice. I’m trying to stay away from her. Can you please send somebody to help me?"

But Hardy's call doesn't tell the entire story. Another call was obtained, this one from someone identified as a downstairs neighbor who called 911 and claimed that Hardy was "beating her ass."

Hardy 911 Call No. 2

"Domestic violence. Some girl’s getting her ass beat upstairs. And I heard it. And I seen it," a female voice is heard saying. "He is beating her ass right the f— now. So get here now. I was in the apartment. He’s beating her ass."

A third call is between the dispatcher and the officer.

A fourth call is from another neighbor who called police to offer more information. He acknowledged he was scared to give the officer more info at the time.

Hardy 911 Call No. 4

"He promised me my name wouldn’t be involved. Because I’m seriously afraid of my neighbor," the man said. "He’s a huge guy. He’s 6’4” and 290 pounds. There were like eight guys right here outside my door. I was kind of afraid to say anything."

I didn't say he was a bum but he is not as good as last year. Especially on defense.

Stats back me and so does the eye test. It just hasn't been apparent in the playoff yet because of how bad the East is.

good morning, you people

let's make it a great day

Went to the doctor so he could check out my knee. He thought I had a great knee.

Then I went to the driving range since I have no class today, and it was fucking terrible. Like it was my first time playing. Wanted to break a club or 2. Maybe beat up an old lady with my iron 7.
