Opelousas is horrible. I don't want my kid growing up here. When I was younger it wasn't nearly this bad..but now it is outta hand. Been robbed at work 3 times in a month, but his ass is locked away now. Unfortunately I can't leave for another few months, gotta get the money together.

I know, right. I'm in NC now and Wawas are slowly moving southward but the nearest one to me is still 2.5 hours away. I have family bring me the creamer whenever they come to visit since I love the stuff. I miss the hoagies and pretzels and everything else though.

Oh man you just cant get a pretzel in this stupid city anywhere. I ran into a guy the other day while pumping gas who was wearing an Eagles hat, and he said I should go to enstien Bagels and get their pretzel bagel since it is the closest thing to a pretzel you can get in Vegas.

Imagine a gas station convenience store that people actually want to go and eat at.

You mean Buccee's?

Our version of that is called Buc-ee's. Gas/convenience/taqueria/food/souvenir/carwash/truck stop shop.

It's like a redneck's dream. 20+ different kinds of jerkies, fudge, meats of all kinds, cheeses, candy, etc. etc.

It can be expensive as hell though.

got the platinum, and now I need an extended gaming break, haha

how's it going for you?
Holy hell, dude! Congrats! Did it take multiple playthroughs? No time for breaks for you, Dark Souls II is out on PS4 tomorrow. :)

I didn't get to play much this weekend but I just beat the boss in Forbidden Woods last night. Working my way through slowly but surely.

Yeah, the West Coast is the worst when it comes to getting good East Coast food. The pizza was shit, you couldn't get a good soft pretzel anywhere and you could forget about cheesesteaks. I mean, they didn't even know what water ice was! At least we have Rita's here in NC and you can find some good pizza places.

yeah, I had to complete NG+, but I ran through the whole thing and it took less than 2 hours which was pretty funny considering all the time I put in the first playthrough

chalice dungeons were the most difficult part of it all which is good to know because there are still quite a few I never attempted

hadn't been sucked into a game like that in a long time... I think I'm going to stay clear of games that aren't FIFA for a while

That is super impressive. You were not playing around. You have now witnessed the addictive power of these games, haha. I missed your message last night until really late but if you want to play FIFA sometime just let me know!

The biggest travesty about Wawa is their soft pretzels are pure garbage. Actually, that is what annoys the fuck out of me about Citizens bank park too. Superpretzels are pure shit but they are all you can get in the baseball stadium in the city that invented the damn soft pretzel.

I still really miss the Southwest Philly travel commercial.

They got umm... ummm...

...uhh, the Liberty Bell.

Oh, the Liberty Bell.

PRETZELS!

What? There are always people selling real Philly pretzels outside the stadium. Fuck super pretzels.

Yeah, you can get them outside the stadium, but not inside. Superpretzel must be paying to be in the stadiums or something, but they suck so bad. They're barely even soft. The problem with buying them outside and bringing them in is it is better when they are warm.

But you may be in luck, Philly Pretzel Factory just announced they are going national last week. They are not as good as the ones you get in south philly from the big bakeries but they are leagues better than anything else out there.

Like I said prior, my only venture to Philly was Airport -> Cab Ride -> Ballpark ->Airport.

Some dudes this PAX told me north of the ballpark a bit is where everything is. At the actual stadium, there was nothing. The only thing I found and eventually did for food was the restaurant attached to the side of the building. Post game radio show was going on there.

Ballpark was great though! Still one of my lesser experiences.

I hope they come to Vegas quick. After a year and a half I finally found a good cheesesteak place out here, I wish they also had pretzels.

What you gotta do is walk about five minutes or so west of the ballpark and hop on the subway. Take it to either Walnut-Locust or City Hall and get off. You'll be in the heart of the city from the ballpark in around 20 minutes, maybe a little less. It's super easy to get to. Once you're there you can actually take a regional rail line right to the airport for a lot less than a taxi costs.

Didn't have much time. I had to use some Southwest bucks and best I could do was a day trip. I'm just spoiled a bit by Fenway/Garden's outside of the park accommodation.

If I recall, they had unsalted peanuts there too, which was always a big plus for me going to a ballgame.

Yeah Philly has a stadium district but there's not a lot going on there other than the stadiums, and what is going on is boring. It's just nice because all of the stadiums are clustered together (except for the MLS stadium, which is actually not in the city) and they all have really good public transit and highway access. They are building a big casino complex down there in the near future though, so it may get more interesting, but natives don't do anything down there after games really. I remember back in the late 90s when they were planning the new ballpark there was talk of putting it down town and I really wish they had, it would have been so cool, but a traffic nightmare.

WTF

According to a source very close to an agent involved in the trade talks, the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles have engaged in multiple discussions to send Browns QB Johnny Manziel, who is currently in rehab, and draft picks, to the Eagles in exchange for Eagles QB Sam Bradford, who was recently acquired via trade from the St. Louis Rams.

According to our source, both sides are very motivated to get a deal done, with each side valuing the other’s QB more than the QB currently on their rosters.

Never heard of this site before, so I'm going to just assume this is total bullshit.

How big were these hot dogs? Some are tiny so 5 ain't that big a deal.

They weren't huge. Like, 2-3 bites and gone.
