NFL Offseason Thread |OT3| Mock draft Central sponsored by the Shirtless League

Bradford is lightyears better then Foles. It is silly to even compare them as QBs. Bradford's problem is injuries, but Foles has also been hurt a bunch so that is a wash.

I haven't watched much of the Eagles the last couple of years but I find that statement hard to believe.

Mostly because Bradford is a sack of shit.

Brosnan was a good bond who was dragged down by bad scripts.

Craig movies are not really Bond movies since they go away from the formula so much.

Doesn't change the fact that the Craig movies aren't good.

Casino Royale was alright until the half a dozen endings.

Fuck the other movies though.

You have to evaluate Yankee's comments on a curve considering he always hated Foles.

Won't he still have like $20m left on his deal after this year? Doubt they'll fire him, plus...who the fuck would they get to take over this team now that it's been Chip'd?

Good point.

Philadelphia has finalized an agreement with the 27-year-old Tebow, the framework of which was put into place when he worked out for the team last month. Tebow will be paid the minimum salary.

Now we can stop talking about "HE'S GETTING PAID A LOT, HE'S STICKING AROUND"

Some site had a breakdown of every pass they both threw the last year they played and the majority of Foles plays were short dump offs, whereas Bradford could actually make NFL throws. I cant find it right now, but I will eventually. Also FUCK Nick Foles, such a garbage fucking player.

Chip Kelly's moves are extremely entertaining just to see how EDP445 reacts to them.

Yards per passing attempt:

Nick Foles - 7.6 (single season high 10.4) Y/A+ 110

Sam Bradford - 6.3 (single season high 6.4) Y/A+ 84

You could not be more wrong.

I was going to say that I feel like I'm on drugs because we all would constantly joke for years about Bradford's checkdowns and slant routes.

Bradford is worse than Austin Davis and Shaun Hill bro.

Exactly, the passing game was mostly throws that travelled five yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Of course this meant that whenever a receiver went deep he'd be wide open.

And Bradford would miss him by eight yards.

3. Foles, Sanchez, Barkley this past season. In 2013, I don't actually remember if he had 3 or not.

It's tough to find out apparently. I'm a fan of the reference sites, but I can't seem to find anything unless they threw a pass, or no indication if they were practice squad.

Do you mean how many total or just how many have been on the roster at any given time?

We are comparing him to Foles though, not those guys. Butt Fumble came in last year and basically put up the same numbers as Foles. Foles is not good, maybe Bradford can be good, we will have to wait and see, but I would definitely take him over Foles.

Presumably because you have never watched Bradford play.

Bradford is the worst type of quarterback, mediocre. Just enough to keep giving you hope that he can turn it around and be what you drafted him to be.

I was just about to say I'd rather have Tebow instead of Bradford because at least you'll get butts in the seats every game for one season on your way to going 2-14.

I think Jay Cutler is a chooch but trading for him would have been a much better deal than going for a guy like Bradford.

Sending out Matt Barkley for a season would have been better.

I'm still sticking to my gut reaction to the Foles/Bradford. I don't think either is a clear cut superior quarterback, but in the attempt to possibly generate a more consistent year it's not wrong to go with Bradford. At least I understand.

Still would have went with Sanchez and the draft though.

Even if you think Bradford and Foles are close or that Bradford is marginally better, Sam Bradford has missed his 25 of his last 32 games. It's not something that can be ignored.

I knew something was up with Foles in the playoff game with the Saints. He had a play where he had zero pressure and he just held it forever, felt like 7-9 seconds, like he was more worried about his completion percentage than the play itself.

Sure, but you are looking at the scope of a single season in a new system. A system where Foles already failed in.

Not really looking at 12 Years a Bradford.

Or didn't want to turn the ball over because of his putrid defense.

My favorite part of this discussion is that people glowingly refer to Bradford's 2013 season....in which he was worse than Nick Foles.

1. No team needs 5 QBs, especially with that depth chart of them. Seriously, the second Bradford goes down, their season's done and no amount of offense or defense can save them.

2. As big a risk as Bradford is, I'd still take him over Manziel at this point.

That's a big reaction

I think Tebow is just someone to throw balls in preseason because Bradford won't be done his rehab in time for the beginning of camp. He could then compete for the 3rd spot with Matt Barkley. If he somehow beats out Barkley to the roster, I wouldn't be shocked if he was used in goal line situations on rare occasion.

Trading Foles for Bradford is because Foles was a known quantity to Chip and he didn't think he could win with him. I think he is the type of guy that would rather try something new and see how it works rather than stick with something he knew wasn't working.
