Me foo Gregor, I'm just saving up for my ps4 and whatever games now.
my brother and sister-in-law just visited for the first time in a while, so I bought dinner + drinks

and a wedding gift for next week for one of my best friends

and father's day gift

my PS4 purchase delayed for a while

Only dumbos, whores, and Jets fans (probably some combo of the two with a dash or loser) are excited about the Xbone.

Remember when everyone laughed at the Wii? I'm not saying that Xbone is going to dominate the market, but for the most part they fucked up the PR for this thing like nobody's business. But whatever. GAF is all "ooooohhhhh, Sony embarrassed MSFT it was soooooo fffuuuuuuunnnnnnyyyyyy." Where are the fucking games you want to play? For me they're on Xbone.
I also hate Sony's controller.

No it isn't. Technology is making us retarded. This is just going to accelerate the process.

Yes, there will be people who abuse technology. First person porn, privacy concerns, yadda yadda yadda. But I want to see what serious developers want to do with a technology that puts internet access up close. But this is GAF (again), so let's shit on everything! Yay?

I won't pretend to know what other people want. Bone could be number one in the US but not worldwide. I don't think MS even cares about that. I am not even sure what their goals with that turd are. They want the living room but to do what with it I don't get. Is this their way of getting Windows into every television? I think it would have made more sense to make a Roku or deals did apps built into televisions.

And Google Glass is just a bad idea for the mass market. I think the technology could have amazing potential in limited case scenario. But for most people who are always online I think it is a bad idea to make that problem even worse.
It makes great sense for Google. If they are in our lives 24/7 they will be able to better understand what we want and create better ads, but in general I think it is a bad idea.

I want to play a bunch of games on ps4. Most of them are on the bone as well but I won't have to check in with papa on ps4 and I can easily recoup some if my cash if a game I buy sucks

Nice. I saw MS also opened up allocation to Amazon. It was such a disaster with the 360 and Wii, I hope they are being smarter about promising what they can deliver

That 360 launch was terrible. Add that to the rrod. It blows my mind that the 360 ended up being so popular. It's why I'm happy that I don't like the XBone's drm policies and don't particularly want one. And by the time that I do #JumpIn, they'll have removed the drm and be having great deals on bundles and games.

I thought you wanted the bone for the Forza? If they had canned that instead of the superior PGR, it'd be a tough choice. But no one in the industry understands good racing games.

PGR, Burnout, and Motorstorm :(

Microsoft’s Don Mattrick has told soldiers to “fight a war in a country with better internet” if they want to play the XBOX ONE

Midnight Club II was the true arcade racer of the past 10 years.

Burnout was too gimmicky, and Motorstorm had some weird collision, sense of speed (3rd person view), and AI issues. I never played PGR though.

I'm finding myself getting involved in the console wars in gaming, and I feel ashamed because of it.

it is definitely foolish. i have never had ill will towards a game console and i guess i can't say i have ill will against the xbone. i wish it weren't like it seems to be because i am actually extremely hyped for killer instinct. it looks so fucking good but i just can't support what MS is doing. it's almost like they are purposely trying to piss people off for some reason. maybe they want out of the videogame console biz and this could lead to a bombing of the bone but it would be foolish to waste all the time/money they are putting into it just to get out of it. not sure what their end game is

Motorstorm is an acquired taste to be sure. As far as Burnout, you are just wrong and dumb. Everyone likes Burnout (except Paradise)

Both of those games were shit compared to Midnight Club II. Burnout just fed you opponents to wreck and show off the damage modeling, and Motorstorm had absurd amounts of rubberbanding just to keep things interesting.

MCII rewarded you for racing like a man.

Play what you want and always shit on Patriot and Jets fans. The rest will take care of itself.

If you get annoyed by what another person enjoys than you have already lost. And honestly a lot of those people on the gaming side are just paid shills (like yankeehater).

To be clear, the pinnacle of arcade racing was Mario Kart 64. That's how we measure these things. So using real cars and picking out tires and breaks and that kind of crap is for sims

Uh wtf? Daytona was the pinnacle you anus tart.

And MarioKart peaked on the SNES (very innovative for its time).

There was no customization in MCII - just men racing.

Mario Kart wishes it required the skill to succeed like needed in MCII.

hmm maybe I am confusing it with NFS. Does MC have cutscenes? I think I have that game on Steam, but I've never installed it. Played the console version and hated it

I loved the racing on the SNES version, but the battle mode was better on the N64

I never liked Daytona b/c it was too arcadey. Didn't like the constant timer

I'm pretty sure the 3rd game did (cutscenes and customization), but it was nowhere near as good as the 2nd game.

I doubt it holds up well graphically today, but the gameplay was ace. I consider racing games to be my best, and it took all kinds of preparation to 100% MCII. The online was intense as well.

Mario Kart Wii is pretty boss. To those who bitch about blue shells: stop being ass.
