NFL Offseason Thread |OT3| The Long Wait

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Fuck the wiiu. Garbage device.

Please. Lego City Undercover is superior to any game released this year on consoles.

Handhelds have been tearing it up, though. Amazing year for handheld gaming.

Did you really? I haven't played my Wii U in awhile but I know there will eventually be at least a handful of games I really want to play on it. Even without that I think it'll be worth it for the Virtual Console games on the Gamepad.

I'm sure I'll spend a lot more time with my future PS4, though.

lol. no. I would never sell a Nintendo console. the WiiU is pretty much the new Gamecube in terms of software support, except it was weaker out of the gate. Waiting for all the neat stuff they talked about from the beginning and then delayed to hell. I will probably buy up all the goodies around Christmas and then wait for the next batch of stuff, whenever the hell that occurs. Im in no hurry though to play games. not like I have time.
I was just...testing a certain poster. To see where he stands ;)

And Freeman is a fat fatty fuck

Of course... I'm an idiot.

But yeah, I agree with everything you said about the Wii U.

  1. Ni No Kuni - Wrath of the White Witch
  2. Guacamelee
  3. Metal Gear Rising
  4. Bioshock Infinite

But maybe you were trolling. If so, I give you 4 out of 4 stars!

I honestly have no idea how many Jets games you watched but he looked fine out there.

It's just Rex getting on him because hes always had motivation issues. Its like the oldest trick in the coaching playbook.

Coples will be starting at LB. He's going to have a monster season this year.

Didn't watch a lot but read enough to know he was inconsistent. All the UNC guys have motivation issues and that was his problem last year too. Hope he works out for you but he doesn't seem like a good fit for LB to me

The cube was cheap as fuuuuuuuuck.

I hope the WiiU has some good games and more importantly the bargains we saw on the Cube. You could get crazy deals on a used Cube with a ton of good games like 2 years after it came out. I think the one game that was never cheap was Smash Brothers but otherwise everything got cheap real quick and were easy to find used. It helps that it was the most indestructible disc based system of all time. I didn't know it at the time, but that system was always a safe bet used. You can't say that about any of the modern consoles.

I remember the video of some dudes tying it to the back of their pick up truck and dragging it for like a mile. Afterwards they were still able to play games on it.

I recall one of those destruction test videos involving a Ps2, xbox 1 and gamecube. The Ps2 died almost immediately after drop test, the xbox hung on through a sledgehammer before dying, and the gamecube took all of that shit, plus being dragged behind a car AND STILL TURNED ON. Holy fuck Nintendo.

Looks like Dion Sims will be expected to play a somewhat significant role in the Dolphins offense next season:

Miami Dolphins beat writer says former Michigan State TE Dion Sims to push for playing time

I don't know much about the guy but if he can contribute in his rookie year that could end up being some great value for the Phins.

joshfreeman-fd7.jpg

Lookin' mighty spherical today, Josh.

Giants have signed Aaron Curry. As expected.

I'm sorry.

Linebackers now on the roster:

Dan Connor, Keith Rivers, Aaron Curry, Jacquain Williams, Mark Herzlich, Spencer Paysinger, Charles Dieuseul, Jake Muasau, Etienne Sabino.

That's just a chorus of mediocrity there outside of Williams who's pretty good when healthy. I didn't put Kiwi on there either as I expect him to play more at defensive end this year where he belongs. It's pretty par course for Reese who puts very little emphasis on the position. Live and die by the defensive line but fuck we need to upgrade the middle desperately.:(

Maybe Dan Connor will be that guy? Right? RIGHT? *crickets*

Greg Cossell said Luck is Peyton before the snap, and Big Ben after it. I said that all year last year. Dude will dominate the league next year. He and Rodgers will be 1 and 1a

Not yet. While he will be a great one, when I watched his film I came away unimpressed with his ability to read coverages after the snap, drive the ball to the outside (and arm strength overall), lower body mechanics, and ability to move off of his first two reads.

Part of it was the vertical offense that Arians ran, and part of it was him being a rookie, but for someone who was touted as the best prospect since Elway his lower body mechanics were really sloppy at times. He had an awkward hitch and let his base get way too loose and way wider than it needed, and he lost a lot of velocity on his throws. He would also pick up his back leg after his delivery which also took velocity off his throws. Compare that to QBs like Rodgers, Brady, and RG3 who have very fluid lower bodies and can thus put a lot of power on the ball.

How cute is it? Is it Nintendo failure levels of cute or perhaps moreso? Cause Nintendo failing is adorable.
Yes.

I'm trying to decide which platform I want to put my new indie game on. It's an RPG. Can anyone tell me the benefits of going with Nintendo over Sony or Microsoft?

Absolutly none. There is no install base, no DLC, and from what I have heard Nintendo has almost no stat tracking.

Go with a PC+Sony release. Try and get your game on desura, steam greenlight, and gog.

Welcome! I agree on the mechanics, especially towards the end of the year. I thought the hits took their toll and his play really declined. I guess I should say that what I find exceptional is his pocket mobility and presence. I think the coverage recognition will get better, but unless he goes on Rodgers weight lifting plan, I'm not sure he'll ever have that elite arm
