Imagine this, but with AP, followed by a scrotal thrashing.

As a Vikings fan I am completely opposed to this trade. I would of preferred Aj McCarron from the Bengals for a 3Rd or even a 2nd. I think Bradford is a complete disaster waiting to happen.

And you guys could have possibly picked up Kaep for far less.

Thing is coaches/GM still think there is something to bring out of Sam. For his and Vikes sake I hope so.

Patriots have informed rookie LB Kamu Grugier-Hill of their intention to waive him. A surprise of sorts, as he was a core special teamer.

A little disappointing, I've liked what I've seen from him. Could mean that Mingo pushed him off, or that Elandon Roberts is making the team over him. He'll likely be headed to the practice squad though, at least.

Sanchez turns the ball over less than Bradford. A guy who's defining characteristic is turning the ball over.

The Vikings needed a QB that can protect the ball, not give it away and then shatter.

That's not true at all.

Sanchez, in 16 games played seasons:
2009 - 20 INT and 3 lost fumbles - 23
2010 - 13 INT and 1 lost fumbles - 14
2011 - 18 INT and 8 lost fumbles - 26

Bradford:
2012 - 13 INT and 1 fumble lost - 14
2016 - 15 INT and 2 fumbles lost - 17

I don't get feeling less excited about this season now, if you are an Eagles fan. Were you really looking forward to another year of Sam Bradford? Were you looking forward to going 7-9 and missing out on the Wild Card by a couple games?

Now they may end up with a worse record, but this season is all about Wentz's development. That is way more interesting to me than a wasted year with Bradford under center. There was no way they were winning the Super Bowl with one or even two years of Bradford. Only way they win it all at some point in the next 5 years is if Wentz is the real deal. Now we get to find out sooner rather than later. (Oh, and we have a first round pick again now!)

It's a win-win IMO.

Then what the hell was the plan to begin with? Why sign Bradford, pay him 11M (which we don't get back) for making it through camp, and sign veteran FAs to try to win this season WHILE developing Wentz who just until this minute everyone said wasn't ready to play this season.

The thing is the compensation is more than enough. I am far less excited because with Romo out, an improved D, and a normal paced offense, Sam and the Eagles could have pushed for the division or a playoff spot.

Now? It's either watching Chase or Wentz struggle for a year with zero shot at the playoffs. Had this done much earlier I could stomach it. I just don't get what they want to do.

Sam wanted out much earlier but they refused to trade him because they wanted to win this season.

apparently the eagles had been trying to offload bradford for some time, but were asking a lot. This happened to put minnesota in a situation where they couldn't turn it down.

They only were looking to trade him for a while because they foolishly didn't realize that after signing him to a 2 year deal promising he is the starter but then giving up tons of picks to draft his replacement pissed him off.

I don't get the plan. Seems like they have no direction of what they want to do.

Was the plan to sit Wentz? Start him no matter what?

Wow that is really confusing why Vikings would do this, waste a first and 4th rounder for a one year starter, they plan on making him their franchise QB? Only reason to ever give up a first. Eagles are really great at squeezing teams for amazing draft value or getting trades done, got to give them credit, they released a virus who does nothing but collect fat game checks on the vikings

Reiss and others were really pushing it with the amount of special teamers in their 53 man predictions. I like KGH, but we already have Slater, Ebner, King along with our specialists. Six roster spots JUST for special teams is a lot.

#Eagles are planning on starting Carson Wentz against the visiting #Browns if he's recovered enough from his rib injury, sources said.

I felt like I understood what the Eagles were doing when they drafted Wentz and planned to sit him for a year, now I have no clue. But sure, why not, how could this possibly end poorly?

So you're right. But be honest here, the Eagles make the playoffs. Do you honestly think this team, even with Sam Bradford, was making it out of the wildcard round? Do you think they could beat the Cards, Hawks, Packers, or Panthers in the postseason? If not, what's the point? The only reason to make the playoffs this year would be to gloat and deny the other NFCEast teams a division title. This team needs more pieces on offense before they can compete in the top tier.

The Browns are going to cripple the Eagles new franchise QB to make this even more surreal, and then the Vikings led by Bradford will beat the Eagles in October to finish this, the ultimate WTF story

Congrats BG on starting off 1-0, we did it

I think it means they don't believe Bridgewater will be back next season, making Bradford a two year starter or more.

I think resigning Bradford was Plan A but once it became apparent that they had a shot at Wentz, who they loved, he became the new Plan A. According to reports, Roseman had been shopping Bradford behind the scenes since the draft, but the price he wanted (two 2nd rounders, reportedly) was too high for other teams. So they kept him and sold the team/fanbase on wanting to bring Wentz along slowly.

Things have obviously changed with the Vikings desperate for a QB and offering way more than Roseman's original asking price. And apparently they really like what they've seen from Wentz so far and feel he is ready to start.

I honestly could not care less about winning the division if they don't have a legit shot of winning it all. And they weren't going to win it all with Bradford. They might with Wentz. So why not just make him the guy now and see what happens?

Told same as @caplannfl: It's the Carson Wentz show in Philly when he's healthy. Source says Chase Daniel not happy.

I really don't understand what the Eagles are doing. They're clearly just making this shit up as they go without any clear plan, and pissing off all their quarterbacks in the process.

Eagles will start Wentz week 1 if he's healthy as per Adam Caplan.

Well at least one of the 2 franchises has some sense. Goff as the 3rd QB lol.

I don't get what GMs and coaches see in Braford, have not since day 1. Congrats to the Eagles on stealing a 1st round back.

Daniel pouting about not being named the starter is a total joke. The guy is an absolute scrub and is being paid waaaaaaaaay above his talent level. And the fact is he played like dog shit this preseason. Had he played well enough, I'm sure they would have named him the Week 1 starter. He has only himself to blame. Just shut up, hold the clipboard and collect your paycheck, Chase.

Also, starting your first-round QB in his rookie year is the norm now. The fact that the Eagles were planning on bucking that trend prior to this trade doesn't really then make their decision to now start Wentz somehow foolhardy.

Keshawn Martin, Markus Kuhn and Tyler Gaffney cut by the Pats.

Surprised about Martin, but I also wouldn't be surprised if that's also a situation where he just wasn't available to play week one and they'll bring him back in week 2 once salaries aren't guaranteed for the season. Bummer about Gaffney, but not unexpected.

The division is gonna be fun this season. Two rookie qb's starting, NFC East home of fuckball 2016. Giants have to be favorites to win the east.

I assumed Keshawn was a near certain lock to make it on the roster.
