@AdamSchefter
The Schaumburg (Ill.) Boomers of the independent Frontier League have offered Tim Tebow a contract to play as an outfielder.

Yeah. Although Rapoport and Garafolo are not disputing it.

Said Lane will appeal.

Rapoport reporting it now.

Welp, we're fucked.

Well shit. What a goddamn idiot. It's not like the Eagles are going anywhere this year anyway but this is just stupid. Our line was finally looking decent, even with the assumption that Peters goes down. But now we're basically out both tackles. Two years in a row with this shit

Well the one benefit of this is at least we'll be able to throw Seumalo/Vaitai in for a bit and get them some NFL experience to see if they can develop at all.

To be fair, the East is such trash the playoff spot might still be up for grabs by week 15 even with all of these messes in Philly

It always is, division hasn't had the same winner two years in a row since 2004. They'll get bounced in the divisional round anyway

Nothing will ever top that period where the Cowboys were in a win-and-in position in Week 17 three years in a row and lost to each team in the division, finishing 8-8 every time

Another benefit is that apparently this voids Johnson's guaranteed money on his contract. It can still be earned by him, but is no longer guaranteed.

Johnson himself is denying the reports, though. A little odd if it's true.

Ah that's good, I was hoping there was something in the contract to punish him for being so dumb. And I saw him denying it, although he just did it through a text to Les Bowen. Still waiting for an official public release of him denying it. I'm just gonna assume he did it again though.

Liars lie, cheaters cheat. Johnson has come clean now, from Jay Glazer:

"Just heard from Lane Johnson, says he took an amino acid that was approved but tested positive for peptide. Fighting it as well as company. You're responsible for what goes in your body but he insists it was approved. Waiting on B sample"

Peters is ALREADY hurt. I really question how many games he'll even start this year. If they have no starting tackles for 10 games? Not going to be fun to watch.

This with Randle and Chris Givens penciled in as starters. Offense is going to be bad. Eagles' beat guys seem to think Wentz is a ways off from starting, so I don't see him stepping in when Bradford gets hurt

Pederson had pretty high praise for Wentz today. Said that none of the mental aspects of the game were too much for him, and that he learned the terminology and system extremely fast. He said at this point it was mostly mechanics and technique that they were working on. I don't know how that translates into his state of readiness though.

Mental part was never the problem though. He's a smart kid, but looking through training camp he needs to work on his deep ball accuracy and his footwork. He kind of squats wide as he moves around the pocket instead of standing tall and narrow. I'm excited to see him Thursday but I really don't think he'll be starting this year until Week 14 at the earliest.

New offense, injured Jordan Matthews, injured Peters, suspended Lane Johnson. Bradford is being fed to the wolves.

Eagles going to kill my ginger QB aren't they?

Pretty sure Agholor is listed as the no. 2 WR ahead of Givens. Randle is listed as the starting slot guy.

But yeah, the offense is going to suck. No way in hell they should start Wentz this season, given the lack of an O-line and lack of weapons. He'd be a sitting duck back there.
