NFL Street 2 - IGN Review

8.9

Closing Comments
NFL Street 2 follows the pattern of the Street games that have come before and the formula works again in my opinion. If you’re not playing this game with buddies regularly, then you’re not going to get half the fun out of it that you could be getting. The single player modes are great and I didn’t even mention the mini games like Crush the Carrier, that beloved childhood game that used to be known by another more colorful alliterative name before it became offensive in this era of Bravo Channel domination. If you’re used to buying football sims every summer looking for at least a roster update, then you’ll have no problem digging in those pockets for the second NFL Street game of 2004. You’re a football junkie so don’t fight it.

Why do I get the feeling nobody around here are going to take review of EA games seriously for a while?

Well, this can't be taken seriously. This series is stupid. NFL Hitz has did a better game 5 years ago.
NFL Street = poop

I thought it's always been that way? EA games are usually reamed by much of GAF regardless of quality (I haven't played the NFL Street series so I can't say if it's terrible or not).

NFL Street 1 fucking sucked man. I can give an EA game props. I did so about a week ago with the LOTR RTS game for PC, just do a search of my posts but this is asstastic

come on man, NFL Street sucked, how much better can this be when other reviews say it ius more of the same... if this were NBA Street 3, then i may be worried about the scoire being too low...

NFL Street isn't horrible, but it isn't a showstopper either. I played quite a bit of it online on PS2 and it was pretty fun. It is an above average game and the 7 score seems justifiable. If Street 2 is basically more of the same an 8.9 score does seem a bit inflated. NBA Street stomps it, though. I'm not a big NBA fan while I am a huge NFL fan but I can't deny the glory which is the NBA Street series. Volume 3 is almost here!

I love NFL Street, dunno why it gets so much hate. You turn off the "catch up rubberband AI" and it's an awesome game.I just hope they tuned the running down a tad,it was too easy, even tho I passed alot more.I was number one in passing TDs on the leaderboards :P

They suppress innovation and creativity. They make titles aimed at the average Wal Mart gamer, they mostly care about making money, not to say that other publishers don't, but EA just doesn't try anymore. When was the last time you saw an EA game with 90%+ rating? In 5 years, there will be one or two gaming companies left standing and our choice of games will be between NFL street 9 or Need for Speed 14...

Shovleware is the future...

Well, Madden 199X-2005, Burnout 3, MOHAA, BF1942, SSX3, NBA Street Vol 2, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003-2004-2005, Sims 2, etc, etc, etc.

Oh, and that's just for 89-90+ games. I'm not counting the 88 and less.

My reason for hate towards EA is that they killed off Origin into making Ultima onlines.

They made Origin rush number Ascension, but I still like it, better than Pagan, which was rushed as well.

Origin creates worlds
EA destroys them

I do need number 4 again, the greatest one of them all
