4) surprising the Texans are better on the road, Schaub is statistically better in like every category on the road for some stupid ass reason
5) you would think so but the Texans have fared very well in cold weather, see on the road against the packers couple of years ago.
That's cause they poured their heart and soul into that shit.Wellington said:A couple of years ago the Cardinals were in the Super Bowl.

A couple of years ago (and last year) the Bengals looked like a good team.
A couple of years ago AJ Smith was a good GM.
Could play this game all day!

same coach, same receivers and same quarter back that played in that game. Also Schaub has historically played well in bad weather games*, he attributes it to his coaches in College making him throw passes with soaking wet footballs all the time.Wellington said:A couple of years ago the Cardinals were in the Super Bowl.

it is when, the Texans are no longer on that pace, if you would bother to do your research before posting shit you would know that. You would also know that by your favorite measuring stick,(yards in case you forgot) the Texans are 28th overall in total yards and yards per game, 31st in pass yards and pass yards per game, and 26th in one of the more important stats, points per game and points overall.DeaconKnowledge said:Yet an article from November 15 is outdated.

I can't remember threads exploding after Packers losses. Mostly magnanimous. When your team loses you fly off the handle, sure, but every one is generally quite calm after a loss.yacobod said:ending the packers season in gb will be glorious. week 17 thread will explode.

Or have they jumped off the bandwagon already?

Wellington said:Texans/Eagles fans, what are your predictions for the game on Thursday?
Of course I need a Texans win, but what are the chances that happens?
I see the following issues:
1) Weak Texans LB corps after losing Ryans for the season trying to chase down Vick and McCoy.
2) One of if not the worst secondaries in the league against Mac and Jack.
3) Lack of solid DT play from the Texans - it is imperative to collapse the pocket against Vick, especially with Mario potentially playing the 'Julius Peppers role' from this past Sunday.
4) Philly is home
5) The inherent advantage of a warm weather team having to travel to a northeastern stadium in December.
6) One day of practice for the Texans
Unless the offense plays all world, the Texans are going to get stomped. I expect Houston to be able to run the ball well at the very least. Also, AJ versus Dmitri Patterson is an extremely favorable mismatch.
LET'S GO TEXANS. #kubiakbelievesinyou

yes, and the same team and same coach have worked on the issues and they have improved, thus their ranking has improved. Not to mention I was applying that statement to offense which cold/bad weather affects more than defense.levious said:but it's the same team, same coach as the one that was on that pace... or does that not apply unless you want it to?

wow you are such a jackass. I still belive the offense needs to do their part. I dont even know why im bothering you routinely take shit i say out of context.DeaconKnowledge said:So what's your argument here? That because of one game they're spared from the dubious honor? Congratulations!
Any time anyone opens their mouth about the Texans defense you're always there to mouth off as to context. Since the beginning of the season, between you and I alone we've gone from:
"Yards don't matter"
to
"The offense isn't doing their part"
to
"Well, they're not the WORST defense ever, so suck it!"
Even when other people like levious chime in you've proven to have some serious sand in your crotch about any slightly negative comment, true or no. You're a serious Homer.
Pretty much. They can only play the schedule given to them.so the texans weak defense benefited from playing against the worst quarterback currently playing in the nfl rusty fucking smith last week, and helped bump up their statistics

I just said right up above that THE OFFENSE NEEDS TO SHOW UP against philly. I said that the defense did well agains the Jets considering the offense did nothing for 3.5 quarters and kept giving the Jets a short field with turnovers and 3 and outs, but you will ignore this because you only see what you want to see when i type. Get over it, i know more about my team than you do.
And no they arent the worst defense, so shut the fuck up already jesus.
Yards still don't matter, but since they are so important to YOU and THE VERY ARTICLE YOU LINKED YOURSELF MENTIONED YARDS, i used yards. I guess i need to spell everything out and bold it for you like a 5 year old.
Pretty much. They can only play the schedule given to them.

The Eagles-Cowboys game on Dec. 12 will remain the Sunday-night primetime game, as the NFL chose not to flex a different game into the slot.
The league flexed the Patriots-Bears Week 14 game from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET.
The Cowboys have played in primetime three times this season. They fell to the Redskins 13-7 in the season's first Sunday-night game, lost to the Giants on "Monday Night Football" 41-35 in a game in which they fell behind 38-20 and got walloped by the Packers 45-7 on a Sunday evening.
The Eagles are tied for first in the NFC East at 7-4 while the Cowboys are in last place at 3-8, essentially out of the playoff race.

Exactly! It doesnt make any damn sense, since the defense was better last year and the only player change was Dunta to Kareem. Kareem sucked it up, but he's a rookie, but so did Dunta last year he was good for a long PI at least once a game.If the Packers had a defense that bad I'd just throw my hands up in disgust. You have to give him some props for attempting to spin that shit. I guess.
Wow didn't even know weather.com tracked stuff like that, pretty cool. If i had to guess the last cold weather game the Texans played in was the Green Bay game i mentioned earlier, in which the texans won with a Kris Brown field goal and Schaub threw for like 400 yards in 0 degree weather.verbum said:According to weather.com, the Texans have not played in any temperature below 40 degrees for the past 2 years. Also, they have never won when the wind was blowing 15 mph or more.
Philadelphia forecast for Thursday is 36 degrees and winds between 6-11 mph at 7 PM. They will have to adjust a bit to the weather but the wind may be on their side.
I've actually known this for a while.A Texan fan finally realizing that their season is over.

Yes, it is sooooo far fetched that this years Lions team might possible give the Bears a game. That would never in a million years happen, not ever. No chance. None.

I wouldn't call it foolish at all. No team is unbeatable this year, especially not either of the teams you and I root for.yacobod said:i could say the same about the packers next weekend as well, they gave you all you can handle at home 28-26, but i wouldn't be foolish enough to pick the lions to win the game. either way the bears have improved quite a bit since week 1 while the lions have regressed, this will be an easy win for the navy blue and orange.
