Ha ha! Bears proved tonight that they are bad, but not as putrid as the Niners! I had flashbacks of my Madden game against FMT when the Bears struck early to go up 7-0, and then they had the turnover which lead to seven niner points! Man, our defense crushed that putrid Niners offense. It reminded me of the Bears with Quinn in the lineup at starting QB.

if the opposing player touches you at all and CAUSES you to fall down or touches you while you are in the falling motion, then you are considered down by contact. lloyd obviously touched him which means he would be down.

they also screwed us on that brandon lloyd catch which clearly there was no shots of the ball hitting the ground, therefore the call on the field should stand. the ref just assumed the ball hit the ground, that's not how replays should be handled. indisuptable visual evidence.

but, the refs screwing us out of plays didn't cost us this game. ken dorsey did. i thought craig krenzel was garbage (and he is), but ken dorsey was even WORSE than krenzel

bottom of the power rankings here we come!

p.s. eminem pm me your paypal

Three points:

1) Brandon Lloyds "catch" hit the ground. The tip of the ball hitting the ground was clear as day in the side replay

2) The INT was not down by contact. The player needs possession of the ball to be down by contact. When Vasher was touched he was still juggling the ball. When he had true possession he wasn't touched! Doesn't matter if he crawls to the end zone after he picks it off this ain't college football!

3) Give me my 10 bucks too biatch! Don't make me put the curse of Jgar on you! It's going to a good cause: the Halo 2 fund!

Yeah, but he didn't have full control of the ball when he went down. I'm with the ref on that call.

As for the incomplete pass review, well, THAT was some bs. I don't see how they could have reversed that. There was just no real proof on that one.

so true, even I was like "wtf??" and then the Bears really got a break with that. Way too big of a play to be called with no evidence

Me and Paradise just got back from the Bears game...was the game as superb as it was at Soldier Field?!?!!??! :D

great game....GO BEARS!!!!

posting pics if I can.

lol...

Just in case you doubted the sports commentary powers of The Score, their recap of the Indy/KC game includes a comment that the beginning of the game resembled Tecmo Bowl.

You know guys, something weird is going on...

Since the Lunar Eclipse, we've had:

Red Sox winnning the World Series
UNC beating Miami in Football
Steelers snaping the Patroits Streak
Peerless Price not playing like trash

The world's coming to an end.

As expected much of the news this morning about the loss written by Baltimore writers is of course bringing up the Ray Lewis imitation dance done by TO in the end zone... that shit still burns me up, but hey he scored.... Ray Lewis had some less than flattering things to say about it.... and though some of it was sour grapes.. that's how shit goes.... we won't see Philly again unless we win the AFC... and that's so much of a long shot right now it isn't even funny.... Hopefully with Heap, and Jamal returning that will give Boller some more options... he looked good at moments during the game, but his consistency overall still is just not there.. <sigh> Yesterday's loss hurt.

This means that the President/Redskin thing isn't going to go as expected either. BUSH WINS! :O

Texans' dirty tricks pull Jaguars down
By MIKE FREEMAN, Times-Union columnist

HOUSTON--There was a play toward the end of the Jaguars' game today, a game the team will try to wipe clean from its memory banks, which epitomized the kind of afternoon it was. Houston's Chad Stanley was the benefactor of a fake punt, and as he ran, 300-pound defensive tackle John Henderson gave chase, but something stopped him from making the tackle.

It was the hand of Houston long snapper Bryan Pittman, which was wrapped around Henderson's throat, according to the Jaguars.

Yeah. That might slow someone down.

The officials did not see what basically amounted to, if true, Pittman attempting to choke Henderson, and when one of the Jaguars retaliated against Pittman after the play's conclusion by shoving him, Pittman fell back in an exaggerated manner, going to the ground as if he had been shot. The refs saw Pittman get pushed, and penalized the Jaguars for a personal foul.

The Jaguars were involved in a number of scuffles, including a massive shoving match at the end of the game on the Jaguars sidelines. They were penalized a season-high 11 times for 80 yards.
HOWYOULIKEDEMAPPLES IAPETUS? :D
"This game was not one of our better moments," said tight end Kyle Brady.

Some half-dozen Jaguars players said in interviews that the Texans were utilizing some of the dirtiest tricks in the book. Questionable low blocking. Kicking in the groin (hate when that happens). Throwing punches when the official wasn't looking. And perhaps the most egregious foul of all, they said, was that Houston players at times put on some of the worst acting jobs since William Shatner played Captain Kirk. In other words, the Texans played like devils, and then when the refs awoke from their catnaps to see what a scuffle was about, the Houston players shrugged and made like angels. "Who," they would say innocently, "little old me?"

That's all true.

Here's the problem.

When the dirty stuff happens, no matter how egregious, a player really has only one choice.

"You have to walk away," said Stroud, "and we didn't do that. The stuff [the Texans] were doing was crazy. They would pull some questionable stuff, and we would get called for the penalty."

The Jaguars lost their cool.

Then they lost the game.

The reason why? The utter disgust the Jaguars felt at being unable to change their predicament. They could not shake loose the Texans, so the Jaguars let go of their inhibitions, going ballistic, and taking out their frustrations on Houston with shoves and jawing instead of first downs and defensive stops.

"I believe that if you are going to compete in these close games," said coach Jack Del Rio, "you have to understand that everything is not going to go your way … You have to fight through the mental part of it and not allow yourself to get frustrated."

The Jaguars are one of the more emotional teams in football. They feed off of that passion; it is one of the biggest reasons why they have come back from so many deep deficits. Usually, they express their emotions the proper way, at the proper time. This time, they played with a kind of unchecked rage, which is required if you are an extra on the set of Braveheart, but not something a smart football player should do, and most of the time, the Jaguars play smart. Just not today.

"You won't see that again," said Stroud. "Ever."

:lol, Jacksonville complaining about cheapshots and dirty plays? I think they were watching the wrong team. But anyway, that's for another day.

I don't have a tape to be able to go back and see all these alleged "dirty plays" and "WWE-esque" choke holds, but I find it hard to believe that 8 officials missed all of these Texans players and their dirty play.

Go Texans! Let's go up to Mile High and beat the crap out of Denver.

"Meow" poor Jags....cry me a f-ing river.

I think the Bears should go back to playing Quinn. We're not going anywhere....there's nothing like Quinn's comedy act.

By the way, can someone post Ray Lewis's comments on Owens's celebration? I can't find 'em anywhere.
"If you're gonna play a football game, play a football game. Don't be a coward and wait til you make one play. You know...to do something. Nah..just play football....you know? It doesn't mean anything."

From the Baltimore Sun:

"What's flattering is that he has me on his mind when he's at home," Lewis added with a wink. "I thought women would do that. But if you have a man on [your] mind at home, something is wrong with that."

I'm sure this hasn't been said before. Ben Roethlisburger is good, real good!

Based on what you've seen so far which are the best rookies?

1. Ben Roethlisburger
2. Roy Williams
3. Jonathan Vilma
4. Dunta Robinson
5. Kevin Jones

Gibril Wilson has had a huge impact on the Giants D. But so far, it's either Ben or Roy.

Curse you all for continuing to repost that damn animated gif! I can't keep coming in this thread to see that!!!!

At night when you turn off all the lights
There's no place that you can hide
Oh no, the rhythm is gonna get'cha

In bed, throw the covers on your head
You pretend like you are dead
But I know it
The rhythm is gonna gey'cha

Rhythm is gonna get'cha
Rhythm is gonna get'cha
Rhythm is gonna get you

The rhythm is gonna get you...tonight

No way, you can fight it every day
But no matter what you say
You know it
The rhythm is gonna get'cha

No clue, of what's happening to you
And before this night is through
Ooh baby
The rhythm is gonna get'cha

Rhythm is gonna get'cha
Rhythm is gonna get'cha
Rhythm is gonna get you
The rhythm is gonna get you...tonight!

Someone needs to photoshop a pic of TO with broken legs, fallen out of his wheel chair in the endzone, in an empty stadium, crying.

thinks both of them are overrated.

I think a legitimate argument can be made for Javon Walker as the best receiver in the NFL, but at the same time the same argument can be made for TO.

Player Team Rec Yds Avg TDs Long
Javon Walker GB 46 783 17.0 7 79
Terrell Owens PHI 42 697 16.6 9 55

There lines are fairly even (with Javon being slightly higher), except when you take into account that the Packers have played 8 games, while the Eagles have only played 7. If TO played the same amount of games as Javon, he would have slightly better stats (but they would still be relatively similar).

No. No there can't. He's good, maybe in the upper tier...but until defenses make gameplans around him, it's Moss.

With Green Bay, defenses have to plan for Green. They need to stop the run first. Everyone knows the Vikings are gonna pass. Moss is the best in the game, hands down.

IMO:

1. Moss
2. Owens
3. Harrison
4. pick one of any 10 or so

Walker being top 5 is a big stretch. Not even remotely close to being the best though. Anyone can have nice stats....that doesn't make you the best at your position.

They showed a graphic a few weeks ago showing how much of the offense a few of the WR's accounted for their team,Ward was like 60% and I don't even think the next guy was 40%.

Ward is the most underrated WR in the league.

underrated doesn't equal best. ward can't really take over a game or put the fear of god into DB's. pittsburgh receivers benefit from one another. none of them are top 10 material, but both ward and plaxico are both top 20 at least. all imo, but i think you will agree as well

Hines not top 10 material, wtf?LMAO,c'mon FMT.Dude never drops a pass, seems to always find a way to get that extra yardage for a first down, easily the best blocking WR,IMO,among other things. He doesn't have the speed of Moss/Harrison,but that doesn't mean he can't take over a game.I'd also argue that he easily puts fear into DBs because he will absolutely knock your ass out after he makes a catch or while he's blocking,he's physical, the other "top" WR's will hardly put their bodies at risk like Hines will.

Plax benefits ALOT off Hines,I'll give you that, but in the past 2 years Hines has carried this offense, when Plax was havin rather off years.

I think the best receiver in the league is the one you have to double/tripple cover in order to keep him from scoring 4 tds on you. Look at how shitty our offense is without Moss. It's not because we're missing the numbers he's put up, because he hasn't even put up very big numbers this year. It's that defenses basically bend over backwards to keep him from destroying them. He makes eveyone else look good because they're basically playing 10 on 9 football.

You can't say that about anybody but TO and Randy.
