There's a thread on Hfboards where people are posting their teams likely lineup for the start of the season, and some Canuck fans are placing Lapierre as the 2nd C, is that realistic? It would be pretty surprising for me to see him up there.
He played 1st line minutes for a while with Daniel out. I can see it.
Well, there's quite a few ifs. Our centers go:
Henrik
Kesler (might still be injured beginning of the season, but news is he'll make it)
Jordan Schroeder (Rookie, might just crumble, but unlikely)
Lapierre/Malhotra.
So for Lapierre to play 2C a) Kesler would still need to be injured and C) Schroeder would be a complete failure. But IF Kesler is injured, I'm fairly certain Vigneault will give Schroeder his fair chance at the 2C spot, definitely before letting Lapierre touch it.
Without Doan:
Daniel-Henrik-Burrows
Booth-Kesler-Kassian
Higgins-Schroeder-Hansen
Lapierre-Malhotra-Weise
With Doan:
Daniel-Henrik-Doan
Booth-Kesler-Burrows
Higgins-Schroeder-Hansen

I think Pinozzotto beats out Weise for that 4th line spot. Once again though, the line up begs the question... where the fuck does Mason Raymond fit? If Kassian plays well, then all Raymond would see is pine.

Also, use the Powerscore Bible for logic games. It's easily the most learnable part of the test. I went from getting 10 wrong in a section to getting only one on the actual test. Reading comp is the hardest section to improve in from what I've seen.
This is right about when I started studying for the October test when I took it. There's some good advice in the Law-Gaf thread about this recently.

Nice I am glad they got it done. I heard Homer say yesterday he is going to be on the top line this year. It will be interesting to see how he does, hopefully he can take a big step forward.
I'm conflicted, man I miss Hockey.. so I hope there is no work stoppage. But man, if a work stoppage solves how insane things have gotten with these insane contract loopholes, I'd be happy too
Does the AHL Play in the event of a lock out??? I imagine since most are on contract via the NHLPA they wouldn't.
There's also the CHL leagues though.
With all the great promo stuff SJ puts out I can't wait for the weekly segment "whatcha masturbatin' to Logan Couture?"
I have very little interest in the AHL sadly, so whatever happens there isn't much of a concern to me
But yeah, at least there will be CHL action if there is a stoppage.

We'll have a better idea if there'll be a stoppage or cancellation of the season when the NHLPA presents their counter proposal. It'll probably be the opposite of the NHL's.

I feel so sad because almost nothing in the fall excites me. I used to have 10+ preorders. Now only NHL 13 and RE 6.
Borderlands was good times. Played the heck out of it, but I'm not really excited for 2, knowing how many other games I have to play. I'm definitely exciting for Darksiders 2, and will maybe pick that up during a christmas sale for 50% off I hope.

Every fall there seem like too much for me. Darksiders 2, Borderlands 2, NHL 13, Dishonered, Assassins Creed 3, X-Com, Forza Horizon, Halo 4, Black OPs2 (mostly because other friends play it).
Halo 4 is the one I'm probably the most hyped for. Dishonered I may pick up later though.
Have fun man. The weather's been pretty good to us this Summer so far and it seems like it'll be decent over the weekend as well.
Not much for me this Fall either, and I'm not even too psyched about NHL13. I'll buy it without fail, and hopefully will be pleasantly surprised, but I'm not expecting too much.

Pretty much the same. Buying NHL 13 is more of a routine, but I'm excited for Assassin's Creed III and Hitman: Absolution. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale piques my interest a bit.

I'm going to wait on Borderlands 2. I keep seeing the first one for $7.50 on Steam and my backlog is huge so I can't justify the Day 1 purchase.
I hope they improve the story though. Borderlands 1 end-game was all sorts of terrible.

Right, the whole 10% thing. But you have to be cap compliant when the season starts. Let's say that date is Oct 1 and the Pronger credit doesn't come until October 2 or later. Seems there would be a problem with the timing. I'm just curious if the timeline will have an impact.

But isn't the max of what a player can earn based on the total cap?(might be making this up) Then if players get cheaper the cap will probably go down. and it will be even harder to sign him.
A hypothetical situation:
Before:
Cap: 70 m
hit: 55
space: 15 m
max salary: a specific percent of max(lets just say 10%) 7 m
after:
Cap: 60 m
hit: 55
Space: 5 m
max salary: 6 m
As I said this is just hypothetical made up stuff just to show that I can't see how it can possibly get easier to sign him if salaries go down if the max salary doesn't go down more then the overal cap (percentage wise) but I haven't heard about anything like that.

If the cap goes down player salaries (or at least cap hits from the prior CBA) will get prorated to the % of total cap that they were at before most likely.
Hey I sent you a PM instead because I realized my post was getting really long.
But yeah it was the most difficult thing I ever did and I'm so glad it's over with. I had a lot of trouble sleeping in the days leading up to the exam, it was horrible.
E: Also for 2nd line centre I hope Jordan Schroeder can do it. His AHL numbers improved a lot and he went from 10 goals or something to 21. I remember back in the preseason you could really see his skill on display and his release was pretty sick.
I hope Voracek puts up 33 goals next season.

He's gonna need to learn to start taking more shots, but he could do it if he's on G's line.
