While Pickard should be the backup over awufl Berra, I understand why he's in the minors. Roy said we're going to be playing Varlamov a lot, so Berra won't see ice time unless it's in relief if Varly injury crops back up, in which case we can call up Pickard for the next game and he would have some playing time already. Hopefully we can trade Berra, or I wouldn't put it past the team to buy him out. Hopefully Roy and Sakic learned their lesson after giving Berra that contract, though they did the same shit with Stuart and Guenin.
