I wasn't watching the game myself so all I caught was the little blurb at the end of the clip on NHL.com here where they said that Rick Nash was over at the time keeper's bench after the goal. I don't know what if anything happened though.
 
Huge gaffe on the officials' part on that buzzer beater goal. Automatic review, right there.

Would something like this be reviewable after the game? I feel bad for Columbus. Really shitty way to lose the game.
 
It's not like the Jackets wanted those points. It sucks more for the teams that are trying to catch or keep their distance from the Kings. Either way, as a Kings fan I'll take the extra point, but it will be interesting to see how this is addressed.

The players absolutely did. Their fans, too, however few. And I'm sure the organization would like to see the occasional win when possible - they don't need any help in securing that #1 pick.

They won't be able to fix it, but I really hope there's some transparency here. These are the times when the NHL either builds or loses credibility.

No team wants to fail no matter how good the prospects are. Can you seriously tell me you think the entire organization has conspired to continue being shitty? Anyway, this was some shady business. It won't be addressed in any serious way, I'm willing to bet that much.

BlueJackets feed. Gotta justify to their viewers SOME reason to watch future games. People are reporting that the game clock was just fine.

They did. Went waved off straight away. Doughty went to the bench and they all started leaving. Ref got 'em back on the bench, then let them go after review.

NHL.com has the LA feed and during Doughty's goal the clock stops at 1.8 just like it does in that other clip. So, I'm still confused.
 
We should wait until Eklund blows the lid off this.

I guess the refs started the review after 1.8 seconds. That blows.

Watching the replay, it looks like the corner ref is watching the clock and waves his arms after seeing it freeze at 1.8 so I don't know what happened now.. you'd think that guy would say he saw it freeze.
 
So LA somehow knows how to manipulate time and they had to do that just to beat Columbus?

Wow, I would be raging hard if I was a Columbus fan because of that, can't believe it wasn't reviewed.

Fingers crossed this is finally his year. You look at what he's been able to do, his numbers, his teams place in the standings (he's at least 75% the reason for that), Vezina and even a Hart Nomination isn't out of the realm of possibility. He'll never win the Hart with Malkin playing the way he is, but a nomination, that would be fantastic too.
 
Just a quick Stealth Brag ...

I experienced my first Home and Home ... Drove to pittsburgh two nights ago .. Saw the game at the Consol Energy Center..

Drove home yesterday in the AM .. and went to the game at the ACC...

I'm quite happy with the 3/4 point result.. Especially since we ran into a hot team (7 wins in a row) and we were in their building as well. Yes we had the 4-1 lead but .. I mean .. Whatever.

Also, great win last night -- This is the time where the Grabo, Kule, Mac line starts the heat up.. a la last season.
