They should definitely make that trade. The only thing is who would be the back up? We would need them to throw Mason in as well to make it work.
 
Man guys, I am so excited for the trade deadline tomorrow, it is going to be so great, I can't wait for all of these huge trades that will be covered and how Holland is going to go out and help Detroit win the Stanley Cup this year. I just know that he is not afraid to make a splash for a possible top 6 guy or a bottom 6 center. I know let's check our reliable rumor sites to see what will happen next!!!!

I only did that because Sammy played for us, and quite a few people were happy to see him leave. Also it would be Holland bringing back another player who has played for us, with that in mind, I expect Sammy and Knuble to be in a Wings uniform now, I mean we got Quincey, let's get more past Wings!!

Wait, what was people's beef with Samuelsson during his time with the wings? He always seemed a pretty sure bet in the playoffs when healthy.

Yup, that sounds spot-on like the Sammy we know. Fortunately playing with Raymond and Kesler kind of helped to absolve him of much defensive responsibility.

Not sure about his time with the Wings, but Samuelsson was mostly great for the Canucks and a better value. He carried the puck into the zone reliably, had a great shot, and was great on the point for our PP. Injuries and age have run him down, though.
 
You know your team is bad when you want to see your favorite player traded because you feel sorry for him. I almost feel like as fans of the Jackets, we owe Nash some happiness for all the years of joy he's brought us. But, my gut tells me he's not going anywhere... and if he does, it will be a last second offer where the Jackets totally fleece the other team. (Both optimistic appraisals of the situation, don't you think?)
 
On a non-trade deadline/hockey going on tonight note--

I'm in a keeper league for the first time this year and am trying to figure out the best set up for next year. I get to keep 6. Planning on Giroux, Ovie, Kesler, Quick, and Elliot but unsure who should be the sixth. Mainly looking at Eberle or Parenteau.

Also have Nugent-Hopkins, Whitney and Suter as options.

Thoughts? It's a 2 slots per forward position, 4 D, 2 utility, 2 goal, 4 bench league. No restrictions on position for keepers. Haven't handled keepers before, not sure if I'm being dumb and over looking things.
