Pretty fantastic that Couture is injured. Nice of all our injuries to come toward the end of the season.
 
Malkin is 5 goals away from 200 for his career, and 4 points away from 500.

The Art Ross race is going to be close until the end. I don't see Malkin as an absolute lock with the way Stamkos puts up goals, and with how Giroux can explode for 3 or 4 points in a game.

I don't think G will be able to keep up with Malkin/Stamko's production lately. These 2 are just ridiculous right now.

whats the feelings on Josh Harding? Could he be a #1 goaltender? his stats seem pretty solid as a backup, but it may be due to the style of hockey the Wild play. what's the scouting report looking like for him?

not that the flyers are interested, I'm sure other teams are.

I've heard the analysts saying the Leafs have looked into him. I'm hoping if we are inquiring that he isn't just a decent goalie because of the system.
 
I would be worried about taking a goalie from the wild. They play such a defensive system I dont see how you could judge what a player would do outside of that system. The Leafs are like polar opposites of the Wild.

yeah but so are we. We're not exactly the best defensive team in the league, even with our newest additions.

Look at what happened with Bryz. For some reason he was god-like in PHX but now he's trying to get his save percentage above an astonishing .890

I think it has been a huge problem for Bryz going from a defense first team to the flyers where defense is an after thought. The flyers make so many risky breakout plays, that look great when they work, but hang the goalie out when they dont. The 3rd goal against the flames the other night was such a horrible defensive play. Hopefuly as the new guys get used to things they can start to minimize some of that stuff.
 
As usual, I'm hoping 0 trades occur, if only to have 12 hours of dead air on the retarded Canadian sports networks who air this shit all day.

Likely some small trades for depth, prospects, and spare parts.

Only Nash is the only big ticker item. And he may not even go anywhere.

I don't see how the Flyers can possibly trade for a starting goalie unless the other team is taking Bryzgalov, and no other team wants that ridiculous contract.
