Will Pahlsson actually get any ice time for the Nucks if all our centers stay healthy? Would
He just replace Lapierre as a potential 5th center and Lapierre permanently stays on the wing?

I hope this Nash circus serves as a learning tool to other players that sign long term deals in shitty markets that keep failing and don't leave when they have the chance

10 minutes left. I gotta run right after those 10 minutes, so heres hoping there are more deals announced in the hours following the deadline like usual.

Sorry, but I have to do this...

Toronto Maple Leafs - 2005-Present: Did not qualify for playoffs.

Columbus Blue Jackets - 2005-Present: 2008-09 Lost in Conference Quarterfinals, 0–4 (Red Wings)

I thought Rolston had retired.

Why are we picking up a center, that's the one position where we're overstocked anyway, with Henrik, Kes, Hodgson, Malhotra, Lapierre who has to play wing and Ebbet who's injured... You guys say two 4th round picks isn't bad (it's true, i couldn't care less about those picks), but the cap hit is what matters in this trade. Where are we gonna get a depth D for 2.0M...

You can never have too many centres. But with Lapierre and Malhotra as defensive centres, I wonder why they needed to get one more.

I'm disappointed that we lost Muhammed Aulie (destroyer of scrubs like Hartnell). On the other hand we have such ridiculous depth on defense now that a top pairing guy like Aulie from last season couldn't even get into our lineup this time.

Seriously. I'm sure Nash genuinely believed Columbus was going to turn things around and he wanted to be a part of that for the long-term.

I guess a Lapierre-Malhotra-Pahlsson shutdown line does look pretty good.

Also, looks like Chris Tanev's going to stick with the team now if they didn't get another defenseman.
