I'm guessing this is for Supersonic for later?

Seems all of us have moved on at this point.

But actually I didn't know about that rule, good to know.
Three Leafs fans in this thread and Supersonic in the Jan thread seemed to need the education. Just helping.

I like it. It's really physical and chippy. Phaneuf comes in on Cooke to defend Lupul getting crosschecked and Cooke defends himself too. That's fine.

I knew you'd love this game, you love that rough stuff big boy.

Nooooo quick whistle. :(

After reading your post I accepted that it was a good call because I didn't see the replay and because it was a good post. But after seeing the replay I say that what Lupul did can't qualify as pushing or shoving the defender into Fleury. I disagree with you and say that should be a good goal.

Drives me nuts that Roy is between Vanek and Pominville.

And just as I say that Pommer blows an easy one.

No, but it was a 'foul' or interference, which also counts. Michalek stumbles into Fleury (who's going from left to right) because Lupul backed into him. They've waved off goals for the same in the past. I agree that it's a light call, but if Lupul hadn't backed into Michalek in the first place, Fleury would have been in position for the save so I don't see a controversy here.

Yeah, after seeing the replay is might not have been as easy as I initially thought. Still wish Roy wasn't bumped to #1 center. He has done nothing to deserve it.

Well I am going to fully admit that my heart is leaning against the call because hey, I'm biased. I'm putting that out there because as I repeatedly watch the replay I keep coming to the conclusion that Lupul didn't do anything wrong. When I watch the replay I don't see how Lupul interfered with Michalek in any way. All I see, at the 42-second mark of the video (that provides the best angle IMO) is Lupul minding his own business skating backwards and not initiating any contact, whether it's interference, pushing, or shoving against Michalek. What I do see is Michalek giving a very very light two-handed shove to Lupul's back, and I guess since Lupul remained firm the shove, perpetrated by Michalek, ends up propelling Michalek into his own goalie.

edit: And yes, after re-reading this post I realize it sounds like a lot of spin. =p
