It's definitely the safe choice, but that's the problem with management and been the problem with the World Junior teams. Trying to play safe in tournaments like this isn't a recipe for victory. I also don't get how Pietrangelo is a lock ahead of Subban on the right side, while Subban has a much longer, and successful resume then Pietrangelo has.

I want Subban on the team but I won't lie if Subban doesn't get on I am looking forward to the Red_Man salt.

From all the speculation I've seen from Canadian reporters, he's pretty much a lock. I haven't seen one person suggest he was on the bubble, so I wouldn't worry too much. Bubble guys are guys like Nash, Staal, Kunitz, Thorton, etc.

I'd be very surprised if Nash made the team. And Kunitz really wouldn't be in the lineup unless he was somehow on a line with Crosby. It's hard to gauge what kind of impact he would have on the team if he was on a different line.

I think Marleau really deserves to make it. Top 5 skater in the league, can play any forward position, great PK/defensive play, and a killer shot. I think he should make it over Thornton considering Jumbo is limited to C and Canada has plenty of them.

Girardi being traded seems really likely, honestly. He hasn't fit in too well under AV, and I think he's going to be asking for a much higher paycheck than the Rangers are going to want to give him at the end of the year.

The window to trade Del Zotto has probably passed, at least in the sense that I don't think anybody is going to be offering anything of real value for him at this point. Probably going to either just have to suck it up and deal with having DZ on the team or change the asking price for him to something more realistic.
