As if having to play with Lindback wasn't hard enough, refs missed an offside call that directly led to the Caps' winning goal. God damn last night sucked. At least everyone else in the division lost:

Well stick rider if you could only learn to read...

This is the next part of the land expansion around the arena for destination gambling. (Which would also contribute to SSE bottom line). Ownership coming to the county to renegotiate the tax revenue the county already is making from the overnight tourist taxes (hotels etc) Broward co has implemented since the arena construction began. This is in anticipation of the state legislation approving destination gambling and the plans of a Casino/ hotel in grounds near the arena. They want more of the revenue generated by the team's existence, and subsequent events at the arena because of SSE to go to the team. This would put more money to the org than the current set up. Which also will benefit SSE once the the Casino deal enacts.

Have had a migraine all night, but the Leafs score made my night just a little bit better when I saw it.

I don't think anyone getting the game cares about player count enough to make a big deal out of it.

As long as the 360 version of Titanfall is the same count, whatever. I was worried that Xbone would have 18 and 360 would be gimped and wasn't going to buy the game if they pulled that shit.

Here is the YouTube of Rich "Raptor Jesus" Peverley on the broadcast this evening.

Wooo!

Me and my friend are the ones in the masks with the signs behind the bench that they show hahah

:lol that's amazing, your story keeps getting better and better. Love listening to the commentators talk about Raptor Jesus without having any idea what it is about.

It would be so much more fun to watch the Leafs and Flames struggle if my stupid Oilers didn't suck so bad. Don't get me wrong though, it's still a lot of fun to watch the Leafs and Flames shit the bed.

Good lord. The Flames have two second liners in their top six.

And that's it.

Probably explains why they've been shut out in 5 of their last 7 games, and why Mackinnon himself has more goals then the Flames since Christmas.

Looks at score, looks at penalties and sees Cleary with a fighting major, laughs but then slowly turns into tears of sorrow, realizes we are not making the playoffs this year, sees Acid's smiling face, wants to punch it, falls into depression......

I think for the rest of the season the only hockey I should care about is the hockey I'm actually playing myself, not this pile of garbage team. Sorry you chose us to get you a Stanley Cup Alfie seeing as how we probably will miss the playoffs this year, hopefully we can trade you away to a better place for some draft picks or something (which in turn will be used to trade away for our next Quincey)....

But someone told me using STATS that the Wings would be at the top of the East :(

You get anything good for your bday? I assume you didn't get your wish since Cleary is still giving bad pep talks in the locker room.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

I received this:

I had this when I went to Hawaii this past spring and fell in love with it, the problem is that you can't really find it around where I live. So my family ordered some from Hawaii and had it shipped here.

But yeah, my wish that this team would turn it around and not be a complete mess went unanswered.

We really need to miss the playoffs this year to right this ship, we are going in the completely opposite direction, and the only way to fix it is through some major changes. Those changes won't happen unless the playoff streak is broke.

Any rumors of panic-moves that dumbass Nonis will make instead of canning Carlyle? Leafs gonna trade Kadri, Gardiner, Reimer, Rielly to bring in more grinders?

Carlyle MUST go. His system doesn't work.
Watch Gardiner and Kadri flourish under a new coach.

My uncle isn't just a one trick pony. He's also good at computer hacking too and dug deep into the bowels of MLSE HQ to uncover this gem:

Apparently there was a 'source' in the press box that heard Nonis say 'that's it he's gotta go' or something like that. I got excited but I don't think there's any merit to it

Well, there's always a chance that Nonis thinks the problem is those players. He's certainly been more than happy in the past to ditch 'skill' guys that clashed with the coaching staff.

But then again, it's the day-to-day roster decisions that are so mystifying. Benching Gardiner, while dressing the consistently awful Franson/Ranger/Fraser? Talking up Holland like he's challenging Kadri for the 2C, and then sending him to the AHL just days later? Calling up Ashton, and then playing him for 4 minutes? Playing MCCLEMENT for 18 minutes?!

I just don't understand it. The highlight was Mark Fraser falling down on a 2 on 2 and attempting to get up like a turtle. Thats who replaced Gardiner last night lmao.

It's fucking pathetic. LOL at the letter up above, it's 100% still accurate and the team hasn't improved since they released it. Something huge needs to happen. Leiweke needs to tell Nonis to can Carlyle or they're both gone.

What's even more bizarre is, Gardiner isn't even the 5th or 6th D-man who you would normally bench. When he's playing he's 2nd on the team in ice time. Why the fuck would you take out one of your top 2 ice-time guys and put in Fraser?

I think maybe the best thing right now would to be keep Carlyle so we can tank for a good draft pick. Than clean house before the draft. Nonis is part of the problem. Tried building a team around a bad coach and removed skill. Although maybe it would be worth getting a better gm now so we could get value for our UFAs at the draft.

We should be able to get some good prospects or picks for kulemin, raymond, franson. Bolland and mcclement are worth keeping if they want to resign at good value for 3rd and 4th line respectively. Otherwise trade them.

I still like the team's core but I think this is needed to regenerate the assets nonis and Carlyle threw away in Garbo and Mac.

They were holding their own up till Christmas. Had no problems scoring goals. Something is going on. Half the team has checked out.

First they need to actually rebuild the value of those players. No one in the league is going to give up anything the Leafs want/need for the impotent Kulemin, the defensively awful Franson, or the wildly inconsistent Raymond.

Bolland, well, we need to see how he players when he returns. I liked what he gave the Leafs in a 3C-sometimes-2C role before his injury, but who knows what he'll be able to do now.

Blasphemy. How is he not on the poll? This guy has basically beat and exceeded everyone's expectations going into the season.

I realize it's just a poll, but they have Bylsma and Quenneville on there over him, not saying they aren't good coaches, but Joe Sacco could be successful coaching those teams.

As much as we hate him our problems extend far beyond Randy Carlyle, not much will change even if he is fired we will remain a fringe playoff team, but perhaps we will play with some dignity.

This is a team who was shit for 8-9 years and has a pretty damn bare cupboard of prospects, tons of cap space tied up already and whose management would rather covet players like Bozak and Clarkson and pay them big money over real skilled guys.

As I said in the summer our biggest need was down the middle and on D and we failed to address any of that. Resigning Bozak and bringing in Bolland are lateral moves, they aren't a real upgrade over things that we had - and neither of them (in ideal situations) would play in good teams top six.

No doubt the coaches you named are all good. But this being Roy's first year behind the bench, coming out the gate so well the first half of the season is really great to see. If he can continue this into the second half I would honestly be surprised if he doesn't get COTY.

I'm happy to see that some of Leafs-gaf has joined me (and Samyy and bones) on the fire Carlyle bandwagon. Seriously though, scratching Gadiner for Fraser after telling the media that the team isn't skating well enough is hilarious. Ditto with putting Gleason on the top pairing. Also, sending down Holland (who had decent numbers considering that his minutes and lineup position have been all over the place) in favour of Ashton, and then playing him less than a minute in the first period. Wtf??

Also, this made me laugh (apologies if it was already posted)

Anton Khudobin made 25 saves for the Hurricanes to improve his record to 6-0-0. Khudobin missed more than two months earlier this season with an ankle injury.

"This game was, by far, the easiest game," Khudobin said.
