Edit: I hope to god Hakan Anderson can find a couple of top six center prospects late in this years draft otherwise we have to look forward to a Joakim Anderson centered top line in a few years

I would try selling my tickets but the wife would be furious since Lids was her favorite player and I was the man that got her into hockey so no dice there. I'll just try to have "fun" and not pay too much attention to the actual product that is being put onto the ice right now. Plus after the game I get to go give Mr. I some more of my money at the casino down the road.

Game isn't on til 11 local time for me. Normally, that means "go to bed and check the highlights in the morning", but tonight, I'll watch
one period

Mattias Janmark. Riley Sheahan. But hopefully they find some more nice center prospects in the next draft or two. Jarnkrok wasn't going to wait in Grand Rapids until Datsyuk retires, Sheahan stole the only available roster spot so that left Jarnkrok to rot in the minors. Of course he'd deny his plans of going back home now that he's on a team where he'll get a chance to play.

Think of what we could ice if we make the playoffs and by some miracle are healthy:

Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Alfredsson
Franzen-Legwand-Nyquist
Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco
Abdelkader-Helm-Weiss

I like that lineup but that's next season not this one. $5 million for a guy to play 4th line winger is pathetic though, man that signing is really going to hurt for awhile and I really liked the pickup at the time. We will have a stockpile of centers on the roster next season if Legwand resigns, not a bad problem to have when guys get injured but where and who all plays is the bigger issue. Guess those issues can get sorta out in the offseason. You don't even have Anderson in the lineup and he is one of Bab's favorite young guys. Not to mention there are 3 or 4 guys down in GR that have to either be up with the wings or pass through waivers. The roster logjam looks to continue for another season even with Cleary, Sammy, and Tuz coming off the books.

The only thing that really makes sense is that the price on Vanek was astronomical for the entire day until the last minute or so when Snow panicked. If it were anything different, and that asking price was what everyone heard all day, Vanek would've been gone first thing in the morning.

Yeah, no way Weiss is on the 4th line. They'll cram the square peg into the round hole for at least 2 more years before giving up.

To me, that lineup isn't that impressive. Z and Datsyuk are old and have injury issues, Alfie may not be back next year, and I don't trust Franzen to stay at this level.

Found a decent pair of "beginner" skates to purchase at Canadian Tire. My gym has a rink so I'll probably test drive them this weekend.

We got to get rid of Spezza. Kind of how Boston realized years ago that they'll never win anything with that loser Thornton.

It's loss of Alfie + no real replacement = heartless team.

Don't want MacLean fired as that means Cameron would be the coach and then we're really SOL.

So did you get 4 skates for all four of your feet? How does a cat hold a hockey stick then?

Edit: I thought Canadian Tire was a tire store, why do that have skates? Or does every store in Canada sell hockey gear?

Hockey stick attached to my tail if I'm playing forward/defence or hockey stick in my mouth if I'm playing goalie.

Also Canadian Tire is one of those big box type stores, they sell everything.
