NHL March 2017 |OT| All in

Advising any one here who got a Switch to check out Specter of Torment during your Zelda down time. It's super good. I didn't even really like the original Shovel Knight campaign but Donovan's mechanics are so much better.

Finally getting my Zelda on. About an hour in. It's night time in the game and I'm trying to (spoilers for Pikma)
obtain the paraglide. I like this old man, but seriously how did he get to the tower faster than me? I teleported.

All in time, sir

(Spoilers for Pillar)
The paraglide is amazing. Makes climbing that much more fun since you'll often stumble across something and then, if you're high enough, you can cover a lot of ground by paragliding back down

For some reason, I'm really wanting a Switch, despite having never owned a Nintendo console of my own or played any Zelda outside of Link to the Past. The hype is working I guess.

Tonight, I hope the Avs pull the Blues down with them.

If you like the idea of painlessly grabbing the console out of the dock and playing wherever in the house or on a flight etc it's a pretty great investment. But once Zelda is done you've got to make sure you're at least interested in the Nindies or Mario Odyssey, (looks weird but will be great I figure), Xenoblade Chronicles 2 or Fire Emblem since not much else has been announced so far.

Trying to stay out of the Zelda OT but I'm scared to miss stuff.
I've stayed out completely after going in once and having something kinda minor spoiled. I'm keeping it pure and just making sure I explore. If I miss anything, ignorance is bliss. And it's not like you can't look for most things later on.

Habs??

I don't have Gamecenter this year and Rogers blacks out all the games. HCS this weekend has been great.

My phone's auto correct paid me no favors.

My roommates and I decided to go thirdsies on a Switch, so now I'm trying to hunt one down. Since Boulder is a hotbed for frat boys that want to play Smash, there's no Switch to be found in Boulder or the surrounding area.

Yeah, this is what's making me hesitate, especially since I've impulse bought consoles in the past and regretted it.

Check any nearby Sears or stores that primarily sell other stuff but also have games.

Anybody who has a Switch needs to get Snipperclips. Gf and I played it a ton today. So much fun.

Splatoon gets no respect 😔

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 strike me as such retreads (MK8 deliberately so of course), but sure.

Mario Kart 8 is a port, Splatoon is a full fledged sequel as far as I know. Splatoon had one of the better single player modes last gen, along with the amazing multiplayer.

No respect I tell you!

After a slow start to his pro career Kyle Connor has 10 goals in his last 6 AHL games.

Imaging a third line with Roslovic and Connor next year...

SNES's new President is considering a logo change.

I agree that the O Logo or the Sens Classic logo should become the new logo.

I miss this logo

I'm really split on Ottawa's design identity overall. I like the spartan motif, but I also like the classic O logo. Other than the SENS logo, Ottawa's had a good run with their designs through the years, with little tweaking.

Wouldn't mind seeing them try a brand new look, away from either spartan or O logos.

Edit: Even the SENS logo isn't all that bad either.

I legit hate the Sens logo, and overall design

and it has nothing to do with the team or my bff cake, I really just think it's ugly as hell

Zelda people:
how are y'all making money? Just got to where you can buy armour n shit but it's expensive as hell.

Not at all a spoiler but my time on gaf recently has taught me better safe than sorry.
