LeBrun is predicting a Hawks / Habs Cup final. As awesome as that would be, I assume that mean's we're headed for a first round exit.

He has/had an upper body injury from a hit in the second to last preseason game, so he didn't play Saturday. I'm really high on him, but his size is going to put a huge target on his back and he has some bulking up to do.

They haven't sent him down yet, but he's top 9 or bust and I really think it's in his best interests to play one more year with Guelph.

Yea, makes sense. He's a really tiny guy, I was pretty surprised when I met him and found out he was a Blues draft pick. Seemed really quiet too, would be cool to see him stick with the team though.

Get Mordor if you want to play and finish.

Get D3 if you want a longer, albeit grindy, experience.

Also, Doughty may not put up the points, but I still think he's a top D and definitely one you can build around.

Yeah, it really sucks. Dude was going to be a franchise player, and now it looks like he's going to be done. :(


I think he should take the season off and recover. See how he feels then and make a call.

Yeah, it's a damn shame.

Even without knowing his head trauma history, you'd suspect he had some concussions based on the last one. Glancing, almost incidental contact to his head/face and he was clearly in trouble. I'm sure the way he was spinning made the contact a bit more energetic than it appeared based on the relatively slow speed of the players but still, that wasn't much of a hit.

I think it'll be a close game. Like 2-3 either way likely in OT or SO.

Hate second line, feel like AGally is going to be wasted with Plekanec. Clashing styles. Looks good otherwise.

First game is usually shit anyways, both teams still getting into the groove. Habs losing the first game against the Leafs is an annual event now.

At least Plekanec actually has decent, scoring wingers for the first time since AK. Hopefully he can pick up some more points now that he's not dragging around the anchors of Gionta, Moen and Bourque.

Kevin Hayes has switched his number to 13, Jesper Fast to 19, Chris Mueller (who cleared waivers but is not being sent down) to 14. Duclair is sticking with 63.

Maintenance day today for Rick Nash.

Looks like Hayes will start on IR. So basically the Rangers are set with a 25 man group in total, with Stepan on LTIR, and Hayes still here until they take him off IR and make a decision between him and Mueller.

I also took advantage of the offer.
I bought The Last of Us (& Left Behind DLC), Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, and Shadow of the Colossus. (I only own a PS3)

Can't go wrong with either of those, I'd probably pick Diablo 3.

This seems cool, but very gimmicky. How much use will you get out of it a month into the season? The coolest time would be during the playoffs to see the crowd / atmosphere.

I'm kind of glad that a lot of teams are doing away with fighters. I feel bad for them, their pride and their livelihoods and hope they'll be able to cope, but I don't like the idea of having a fourth line full of guys who can't play. Staged fights suck. If they happen organically, that's fine, because they're bound to.

(I like the odd hockey fight, but don't like any fight-based sports)

Honestly, I'm happy that Rosehill isn't on the Flyers' roster, because he's just a bum. All he does is play cheap, dirty hockey and try to injure people. I couldn't stand him when he was a Leaf.

As for the Leafs: It's too bad Franson's out for tomorrow, but hopefully they'll do well without him.
