LOL did you get that from Desi? I'm both terrified and in love with it...
Impressive, dont see this continuing in the elimination rounds though.
All my AH memories are suppressed, I don't remember that. It's perfect. It was posted during one of the After Hours sessions already, I just remembered it and felt like it was "appropriate" :lol
Drouin leading the Q playoffs in scoring (34 points in 16 games).
Yzerman better not fuck this pick up.

France beat Russia at the Worlds. WTF.
Mark Scheifele scored four times during Barrie's five-goal third period, as the Colts bounced the London Knights 6-4 in Game 4 of the Ontario Hockey League final on Wednesday.
The win puts Barrie a win away from its second-ever Memorial Cup appearance, as it takes a 3-1 series lead.
"It was a good third period for us," said Scheifele, whose Colts trailed 3-1 after 40 minutes. "We really put it together."
"In that second intermission, we said that we had to buckle down, take this opportunity, and it took a team effort to get that win."
Scheifele, who had three goals and two assists in Monday's victory, also picked up an assist, and has 39 points in 19 post-season contests.
Roll fucking eyes at all of it.NO one but GM Kevin Cheveldayoff and members of his inner circle know how the Winnipeg Jets feel about their coach Claude Noel right now. But if Alain Vigneault finds himself on the street in the coming days, the mystery may end.
Cheveldayoff needs to determine whether Noel has overachieved with a subpar roster or held back his team with poor coaching. At this point, the answer is not clearly evident.
His writing drives me crazy. It's his painful attempts to seem like an insider and a reliable predictor combined with his weaseling writing style. It all reads like: "Does anybody know? Nobody really knows, but I'm going to throw out something and act like I know what I'm talking about."

I was shocked when he couldn't stay up with the big club this past season.Wat.

But really a high first rounder like him, if he wasn't dominating in his last year of major junior eligibility it'd be a concern. But still, nice to see.
Yeah, he better give that pick to Buffalo for Miller.
Without knowing what teams have offering for Luongo, I can't say that Gillis has necessarily done anything wrong. You've got half the detractors saying Luongo is practically impossible to trade, while the other half is saying that Gillis should have traded him by now. Why aren't those people ever arguing with each other? How do you feel Gillis has handled the Luongo situation in it's entirety Socreges? We talked about it when you were banned, I'm curious what your thoughts are on it.
Losing in Game 7 of the SCF with a team that has several injuries (both to players on and off the ice) is "choking"? I know you're not the first to frame it this way, but it always surprises me.2 first round exits after choking in the final round isn't a great job, and having one of the best teams in the leagues for this long with 2 #1 goalies isn't a difficult situation. Gillis should get the boot along with AV.
Your turn. Why do you think so?I would consider losing to the Bruins after being up 2-0 as a #1 overall team and only scoring as many goals as they did choking. I think Gillis has really messed up, but your point on Lu and how people have changed their opinions on villifying him to making him a victim because of a few tweets is amusing and true. An interesting point Gillis made today was that the landscape of the game has changed in the past few years (referring to playing style) and that they recognize this and will address it.

It actually has more to do with the Canucks having a much more physical path to the SCF than the Bruins, facing the Hawks and Preds. Hamhuis got injured in Game 1 (trying to hip check Lucic), Rome got suspended at the beginning of Game 3, and for the rest of the series the team leaned on a top4 that was pretty much limping at that point. Bieksa, Edler and Salo were all playing hurt. I can't remember if Ehrhoff was healthy or not. Kesler was also hurt, of course, and his defensive play had been a big part of the Canucks' success.- Canucks weren't built to take on a physical goon squad team like the Bruins, maybe they used the wrong tactics as well dunno.
- Playoffs are about matchups, certain teams matchup better than others.
- Thomas was practically unbeatable that year, can't fault them too much for not scoring.
- Regular season success does not necessarily translate into postseason success.

Manny was kinda worthless at that point, to be fair. He wasn't the same after the injury and was mostly marched out for a morale boost.Erhoff revealed after the season he was playing with a bad shoulder. He ended up leading the team in D scoring but also had the worst +/-. Also, Malhotra didn't play that year until game 2 of the SCF
Everybody gets beat up a bit in the playoffs the longer it goes but we took a lot of damage. Having Kesler back for a prolonged period would be nice.

He still won faceoffs though, something we've kinda struggled with ever since. Not just against the Sharks this series.
He was extremely sheltered with who he faced, and in the game that he wasn't he went 30%.Yeah, but wasn't he basically just the faceoff specialist? His final % was basically even but I vaguely remember him having a few lockdown games. But you're right, he wasn't really in a position to be productive otherwise.
Hey guys.
Hear that Bruins faithful? No Boston players were hurt at all in the 2011 playoffs. Only Vancouver was playing wounded.
