Patches, on the other hand, needs to drop his prima donna "I don't need to go to the dirty areas anymore" bullshit attitude that resulted in him playing the worst he's played in the NHL.

Patches still led the team in points and was on pace for almost a PPG. I agree he needs to get back to his style, but people are too hard on him considering his production.

I'd definitely be open to trading Edler. He didn't take the next step physically after exhibiting that potential against LA the playoffs before last, and he looked lost if not brain dead too many times defensively this season.

He's still a solid d-man, but with the free agent defenseman market the way it is right now, he could get a sizeable return.

Back problems, down year, but still could return to form. Also with a solid contract.

Gillis SHOULD be at least floating these names. It isn't desperate if you're in this sort of situation. But that should also include the Sedins. I guess they have NMCs, though?
