Spezza isn't a 1c anymore. Not on Ottawa and not on most other teams.

He's a bigger liability than an asset 5on5 imo.

I like the trade gives us the most $ available for trades and signings.

That is correct. He's declining it'll be a miracle of he's not injured by the time playoffs roll around.
