I just got my first freelance writing gig. Pretty stoked. Deciding on a pay rate is fucking nerve wracking
I'm weighing my options right now. If I quit, I don't even know if I want to stick around for what would be my two weeks notice.
The plan that's winning out in my head right now is quitting and going back to retail, while I look for a new job.
Neither will Simpbris' friend unless he empties his bank account apparently.
Also, you can use me as a reference for your podcast episodes. Just say you worked in media production/broadcasting for Marvie Inc.

This is just content marketing. So pretty much social media and blog posts for clients. I typically do more creative stuff but this pays really well especially for a student.
Do some Giroux fanfics.

Two weeks notice is a courtesy not the law. When I leave, hopefully soonish, I'll give them one week with an option for me to leave sooner if they wish.
If you already got a lock on that reference and are willing to hit the offers up here for referenced, and you really can't stand that place anymore (even to the point that they'd be paying you to dick around), just up and quit. I just feel them paying you to dick around is worth it before you pull the rug out underneath them.
Honestly I think a lot of the stuff people do online can be put on resumes because they reflect marketable skills. I used to edit Wikipedia articles and decided put that on and I've had good discussions about them during interviews.
Another example might be moderating websites, especially if it's a big one.
So imo nothing wrong with thinking about experience more broadly. It's not just going out and volunteering at the food bank.
But then I wouldn't be able to track my activity. Only time I take off my Apple Watch is when I'm in the shower / bath / swimming, or sleeping. It's on for everything else.

I think you're incredibly preoccupied with what people on the internet think about you.
Finally finishing up Portal 2. Not sure why I hated it a while back when I first started. I guess I must have hated all the walking and contanst story telling as opposed to Portal 1, where its just puzzles and that gun and that's it. Great game tho, its definitely a game where you can't binge it.

Me neither. For some reason I've never played the series. This new one looks tremendous.
The originals were some of my favourites from that Gen, great tactical game play with a team, and technically they were always really impressive.
I went to see X-Men to take the edge off after today's shit. Not as good as Days of Future Past, but not the worst. Wasted opportunities and a waste of a pretty decent cast, but it ain't bad at all.

I'm continuously working on my resume, and I currently pared it down to Skills, Experience, Education. I had "Activities" on, which involves projects I've done or something, but it needed more work.
I have a day off tomorrow before having to be back at work for the weekend. Got some decision-making to do, and either I feel a lot better and just hang on a little longer, or bail out by next week.
