I hear a whole lot of talk but no walk... people can't stand behind their thoughts

Keep it in your pants, at least wait until free agency has played itself out.
I'd like to think that the BJs are better than that, but after last year I'll never underestimate just how bad things can get. With Torts behind the bench, who knows what kind of horror or pdo-fueled glory waits.

I have a ton of optimism for the team, but I'm also just keeping it all in check. Hard not to get excited when looking at the prospects pool (especially Marner sweeping up CHL awards) and having the first overall pick for the draft.
Still going to be some growing pains in the next couple of years, but it'll be for the better. I'm almost afraid of the Leafs going full Oilers sometimes, but I think the front office knows better than that.
I'm not allowing you to get away with that after the whole "this is the best team since the 93 Habs" comment.

YouTube celebrity makes me feel so out of touch. His popularity is bewildering.
I met him in person, seems like a smart dude. At the very least, he scored a pretty good gig with Sportsnet, and lines up with what he does on YouTube and later Leafs TV.
Not really a huge fan of his YouTube stuff (I don't hate it either), but he's done well for himself.

Nah, I wouldn't look at it like that. There are many entertainers who operate through more traditional mediums that I'm sure you find annoying too.
The only other thing I'd seen of his was a YT reaction vid he did years ago... I think it was when Carlyle was extended. He's definitely talented.
Talent wise it is.
People are underestimating the difference having AGally in the #1 C spot for more than 20 games will have, and if Bergevin can manage to add 1 or 2 scoring wingers (a big if) we'll be in a really great position.

I got really excited about having the NCAA when there was survey they apparently did to see if there's interesting in either a standalone NCAA Hockey game or NCAA inclusion into an NHL game. I either made this up or I forgot where I got this from.
Still nothing. lol
Habs will be a playoff team again this season, but will be no more than first or second round fodder, because unless Bergevin finally does something to validate his job this offseason, the Habs are going to be more or less the same team that:
- relies far too much on Carey Price
- has no secondary scoring (fucking NONE)
- has highly questionable D beyond Subban and Beaulieu
- has the worst coach in the league
And let's be honest: Bergevin isn't landing Stamkos. He'll pick up another project/journeyman or 2, an over the hill once-great scorer, and a few more plugs with "grit" and "character". If he makes a "splash", it'll be for Backes, adding yet another defensive centreman because our organization is completely inept to acknowledge and address our needs.
I swear I've made this same post before each of the past 2 seasons. And shocker, it's been proven true. AGally breaking out last season was a beautiful sight to watch, but it's not enough to get this team over the hump. Barring a beastmode offseason, I predict that the Habs will finish 4th or 5th in the East and get eliminated in the first round.
