Are there even people out there who don't have three or four PS4s in their household?I dunno what everyone is so upset about. Ps4 is on sale now for 299!

Tearaway was made by about 5 people. That's 100% not AAA no matter where you want to move the goal posts. Until Dawn isn't AAA either.Until Dawn is very much an AAA games, Puppeteer was before they made the switch to small and AAA only and Tearaway is AAA on the handheld space (just a remaster/remake/port on PS4)
Studio begging?
Same, even EA is better than Sony.
I feel like going with Sony, and NOT going independent is a pretty bad move.
I can't see why ANYONE would prefer this besides for fanboy list wars.
Or Naughty Dog who's basically second-party
Your game list of shining PS4 exclusives isn't really the best indicator of really strong first party games. There is a difference between putting money towards games and putting out great first party games.
I agree with the other posters that it makes more sense for him to try and start up a new developer like Respawn or something of the ilk.
I don't think either big publisher will give him full creative freedom. He would likely be an adviser to a ton of other stuff.
Uhhhh, no thanks.
Pinning that cost of the FOX engine on MGS5 alone is only something stubborn enough that Konami would do. If that company had any interests in remaining in the gaming industry, they'd know the investment in the FOX engine would spread itself across as many projects as they were willing to go through with.
I definitely expect Kojima's first project to be on a more ubiquitous engine, but I'd hate to see all that Kojima Pro. engine-creation expertise go down the drain. The benefits though could wring out of the PS4 creating an engine that's single-generational and single-platform could be outstanding for all of Sony's exclusives.
Exactly, If Ueda was working with other multi platform publishers he would have been fired immediately and his game cancelled or rushed out incomplete..which is what Konami have done to Kojima but Sony still kept the Last Guardian ongoing.I think it's partly because Sony is known to give developers more freedom in development compared to big multiplatform publishers. At least in the past. I mean who else would be still funding The Last Guardian?

If Sony are offering him a higher salary and better benefits why is it a dumb move? This is a job after all lol jesus christIndependent non exclusive studios get games published/funded all the time. Anybody would fund his game...
If he's locked down to Sony forever it's literally the dumbest move he could make. Why would you leave out PC/Xbox fans (especially PC)?
Just give this man the "SIREN" IP.
Or Naughty Dog who's basically second-party
Also people talking about respawn are cray. Did you guys forget the game was a total bomb and almost got cancelled until a platform holder stepped in? Yeah what a model to follow.
Pretty good idea. Might make for a better schedule than letting him work on an AAA game due out in 2019, too close to a generation change (PA5)I wonder if they are going to throw him onto Playstation VR. If I was Sony, he is the exact person I would want to make a game for VR. He'd come up with some really unique off the wall ideas for the tech

You do realise that if he gets to make P.T. on PSVR people will actually die. As in drop dead from heart attacks and stuff.I wonder if they are going to throw him onto Playstation VR. Naughty Dog is owned by Sony.
Bring Del Toro in and forget Silent Hills, PlayStation has Siren, reboot it and make that what PT was going to be
Puppeteer, Tearaway, Until Dawn?
The problem with going independent is money and resources. A publisher like Sony solves both problems.
Worst possible situation for consumers. If it's not PS4/XBONE/PC it's no good.

How so? Multiplatform tends to limit scope since you'll have to develop with the lowest common denominator in mind.
