Yeah I wouldn't doubt it since retail DS games had demos which was a pretty big thing with Download Play, and then they added distribution through the Nintendo Channel. Now it's going to be through the eShop. The only thing I'm wondering is how long they're going to keep demos up now.Gravijah said:I wanna say demos were confirmed somewhere. Hmm..
You can just save straight to the SD card. But yes saves can be moved back and forth.MNC said:The answer is probably yes, but can saves be transfered from the 3DS unto the SD card?

I hope they do offer demos for most titles, specially 3DSware games.

enishi said:I've got this and PES for my 3DS. It does a good job for a typical musou game. I'm surprised that Koei did put quite a lot effort this time, esp when you saw every musou games on Nintendo handhelds, even consoles...
Of course it is not graphic showcase, like every musou. But at least it is on par with PS2 musou (BUT still with phantom soldiers around...). I just tried PSP Dynasty Warrior 2 for only 1 hour long time before but I would say Chronicles is a better one, in terms of graphics and gameplay.
The touch screen shows the battle field and for switching characters which provides a better control (if you are used to tip the screen with accurately with your finger, not so convenient when you use stylus). And it has quite a lot of new elements, not a completely reuse of old material.
If you love musou games, it should be a good choice for your 3DS launch game.

Yes, the system has 2GB internal storage as well, for firmware and system level stuff. Savegames are stored on the SD card as far as I know.Fernando Rocker said:I have some questions...

My intention is to exploit what I believe is a loophole with Amazon's marketplace reselling system. What they typically do is let you "checkout" things you want to sell back to Amazon. They supply you with an electronic shipping label and then they give you a full week (or was it two?) to ship your items in. As long as you ship within the alloted time, they will honor the resell value of the items you're selling at the time you place your initial checkout. So what I plan to do is every week after launch until the May system update, I'll tell Amazon I'm selling my DSi to them. However, I actually won't ship it until either A.) the system update comes or B) the resell price drops. If the resell price does drop, it won't matter because I'll be covered by that one week shipping buffering time. Hopefully that makes a little sense haha. It's a lot of hassle, but it's the best solution I can think of right now where I have a chance to keep all my DSiWare games and get the full $75. At the end of the day, I'll only be forking over $100 bucks for this
Even though this thing is just under three weeks away, it's gonna be a looooong three weeks. Someone save me from my midterms!
angelfly said:Anybody else finding the SSFIV figure collecting to be a bit addictive? I find myself playing more to earn FP to exchange for figures. I also find myself taking the system with me even if I have no intention on using it but I just want to earn game coins to exchange for FP. It's going to be a while before I get all 500 though (currently at 157).
About the same. Some internet sources claim it is blurrier, but I don't think anyone on GAF with a 3DS has said this is true or complained about it.Smision said:How do DS games look on the system?

It's very blurry scaled up.FTH said:I don't think anyone on GAF with a 3DS has said this is true or complained about it.

You can also play it in native DS resolution by hitting start & select at the boot up.
Everything I've seen and read has said it's very mild, not unnoticeable but also not a problem at all.Lee N said:It's very blurry scaled up.
I have a 3DS, and they're using bilinear filtering to upscale the DS graphics - it's very noticable and I'm not a big fan of it. But there's always the option to display the games unscaled so it's not an issue for me...UncleSporky said:Everything I've seen and read has said it's very mild, not unnoticeable but also not a problem at all.
I mean, if you have seen one and that is your assessment that's fine, it's just that I've seen more to the contrary.
Yeah they're like the trophies in Smash Bros. It's also sort of like a separate game on the side. You get them through the figure slot machine or from entering a password (from spot pass, ads, etc). The figures go from level 1-7 each level being a different model. The levels come into play when putting together you're street pass team as you're only allowed a max combined level of 20 and you're also allowed to distribute points to character attributes.Naked Snake said:What exactly are the SSFIV figures? Are they 3D polygonal character models that you can look at in a sort of a gallery (like Super Smash Bros.)?
It is not the typical musou story mode per character basis. You act as a new fighter to involve in all important battles in timeline. It is close the "my history" mode in some musou (e.g. in samurai warrior 3)Xater said:Yeah I thought for a KOEI title it looks graphically pretty good, actually better than their PSP efforts. Do you know if this is basically Samurai Warriors 1+2 from a story/characters perspective? That's something I would really like to know.

edit: Here's an approximation of what it might look like scaled versus unscaled, only you can decide if it'll be a problem for you.

The Pokewalker was such a hit that they decided they should include the capability to support similar peripherals in all games this time, without bloating the cartridge cost with an included sensor.Yoschi said:Ok why is there an Infrared Port on the 3ds?

Huh? Green? Does it look different in real life or is this guy crazy? That's false advertising if you ask us, because whatever palette entry was selected here definitely falls closer to the G than the B in the visible color spectrum. It's a distinctive shade and the metallic sparkles definitely lend a high-class look, but the three-tone effect is a bit unfortunate.
On the bottom it's a light green, a sea foam. The middle is the straight, darker metallic green, and up top the lid has been given what looks to be an extra layer of clear plastic. It's a nice effect and creates a little lip, flipping the console open is made even easier, but the coating creates an even darker hue than the other two layers. That's three shades of green plus a random splotch of silver paint 'round the back, a combination that makes the two-tone '80s design of the original, chubby DS look positively minimalistic.
