Gameplay-wise how are you liking it? This may be the only launch title I pick up so I'm hoping it plays well.
DCharlie said:it feels like WE alright, but seems to be a fair amount of glitches. Normal level seems much easier than usual too (perhaps tweaked for the NDS? I never played the previous DS WE so i can't comment).
Scored a few comical goals where defenders seem to not want to bother putting in a challenge or even move in some cases - dancing in from the by line and drilling into the bottom corner seems overly effective (6-0 drubbing of Barca with Spurs in a 5 minute match on normal difficulty should tell you something!)
So was everyone else, the game has music during play. What you're looking at is a very early prerelease video. You thought there was a flaw that huge and you didn't even look at one more video to check before coming here and starting rumors?MNC said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSvOy_SqNVI
This video put me off; thanks anyway.
I was talking about music, btw.
Oh please; how am I starting rumors about a game that's already been released and played widely. Yes I should've checked more footage but this isn't anything more than a regular question about a game like any other.Dreamwriter said:So was everyone else, the game has music during play. That's what I'm hoping here too.Amir0x said:ah so the Gamestop is having a 9:00am opening here. That'll do it. Get in and out, like a ninja.
If this works for me, it will be in a dark twisted fantasy. Lines lines linesAmir0x said:ah so the Gamestop is having a 9:00am opening here. That'll do it. Get in and out, like a ninja.
I didn't think that would bother me until I saw for myself in the videos. On one hand, even the SNES/Genesis ports had animated backgrounds, but on the other I can understand if it tied up the speed of the gameAmir0x said:lol.
no, it just has static backgrounds. No motion or animation in the backgrounds; very dead backgrounds.
Yep.Truth101 said:If on the Gamestop website I click the midnight launch and search my area code and the Gamestop I per-ordered from shows up on the map. Does that mean it is having a midnight launch?
yeah mine is opening at 7 or 8am. And it's in a mall so it will be kind of funny but I think I'll avoid the zergling rush and head in like at 10.Amir0x said:ah so the Gamestop is having a 9:00am opening here. That'll do it. Get in and out, like a ninja.
At least backgrounds also benefit from the 3D visuals with furnishings such as barrels, tables and curious animals popping of the screen (CVG).Amir0x said:lol.

Effect said:They could have at least removed the people. It looks so weird with everyone frozen in place. Once seen my eyes keep getting drawn to the background due to the poses the people are in.
How noticeable is this in the 3D (over the shoulder) view?

With what just happened in Japan, massive shortage is now a sure thing.Stephen Colbert said:What are the odds that there will be mass shortages soon after the 3ds releases? I'm keeping my preorder but my bro is deciding if he should cancel his.

Saw some images in the news, I feel so bad for Japan Hope everyone here is safe.
Stephen Colbert said:Are there mass shortages of the 3DS over at Japan yet? I'm trying to get an idea of hard the system will be to buy a little while after launch, once word of mouth spreads. I'm keeping my preorder but my bro is deciding if he should cancel his.
Shortage of supply is not the worry, more like shortage of demand. The earthquake/tsunami is a major national disaster, with a huge emotional and economic toll (especially with the amount of infrastructure damage we've seen so far - Sendai Airport, oil refineries, farm lands, etc). More substantially, the number dead and injured is likely going to be staggering.marc^o^ said:With what just happened in Japan, massive shortage is now a sure thing.

Stephen Colbert said:Just found out a magnitude 8.9 earthquake hit Japan about a half hour ago!
God damn, I hope everyone from Japan-GAF is okay.
Marty Chinn said:I know about the earthquake, but it should have absolutely no effect on supply of the 3DS.
Truth101 said:What!? Do you really think one of the largest earthquakes in the past 100 years won't affect the supply ,to a game-system that just launched, in the very same country the earthquake affected?
Not that it will affect the supply, but there is a possibility that storage spaces filled with 3DS systems will be destroyed and that people will have other things to worry about rather than buying the systems....
Then there are those people who will buy the system because of the disaster.
wwm0nkey said:Im pretty sure most Launch 3DS units are already stored in warehouses in the US and UK already.
Pretty sure the 3DS doesnt come from Japan, even if it did most units would already be in US and UK storage by now.Truth101 said:What!? Marty Chinn said:The problem is you falsely assume that the 3DS supply comes out of Japan.
Kinspiracy said:Where the supply comes from is irrelevant.
Marty Chinn said:Ma, I don't want to take away from the serious matter at hand in Japan, but yes it is relevent when you're starting to somehow claim that the earthquake in Japan is going to have a negative effect on the 3DS supply line. It won't since Japan has very little to do with the supply.
Marty Chinn said:The problem is you falsely assume that the 3DS supply comes out of Japan.
Kinspiracy said:It won't affect the supply to the Americas and Europe. It sure as hell will affect the flow throughout Japan.
Cheesemeister said:I'm alright, and I've heard from sprsk and cvx. Thanks.
It was a rather big earthquake. Most of my co-workers hadn't ever been through such a big one. Now all of the trains are stopped.
Heard another 5+ quake is coming, please take care.Cheesemeister said:I'm alright, and I've heard from sprsk, cvx, and DCharlie. Thanks.
