Nintendo could make a real power move if It chooses too but will they?

Are you playing switch in the bed of a pickup truck driving down the highway or something?

When you turn the console on off. When you put the joycons to charge. When you remove the joycons. When you change the game. Have you ever used a Switch ?

They can make a hybrid sku, this doesn't mean they can't have a home console sku as well.
If you have the Pro, you don’t have to use the joycons at all… Also an small box like the Vitatv is not stable at all.

Just sounds like a recipe for consumer confusion and mixed messaging, just keep it simple with standard switch that can be docked, lite model that can't and a pro or oled model down the line.

I never use my switch in handheld mode, it just isn't convenient and runs poorly. But I know there's a ton of people who enjoy it and I expect the switch 2 to be a hybrid.

I want them to go the other way and release the Switch with an OLED at launch…none of this waiting a couple of years and then doing a relaunch a couple of years later.
I’m hoping that if there is another version of the system, it will be an OLED.

what I could see happening is them releasing an Xbox 360 Core" like SKU,
where only a charger, the Switch 2, and 2 joycons are included. no dock, no HDMI cable, no game.

not only would this allow them to sell you all those missing things at a premium (similar to how Sony sells their overpriced PS5 Disc Drive), but it would also allow them to have a cheaper "entry" price without directly splitting their SKUs into 2 distinct models... just, 1 SKU with the whole shebang, and 1 SKU with the bare minimum to play Switch 2 games.
