Yes and no.
Yes, expect Smash DLC. It's about time for a new release, and we haven't had a new character in about as long as the last time we went without a character (from release to Mewtwo).
But no, don't get obscenely hyped, because there's always a chance it's just stages or whatever, or even nothing (although that would be odd).

Agreed. Nintendo directs are entertaining in and of themselves and I watch them for fun. I don't really care if x hyped thing doesn't happen, I have a crapton of already released games to get into.
Mononucleosis is a serious illness. Get that checked out.

I think K Rool is a bit more relevant and important to Nintendo's history than some random character from Hunters
Retro hasn't created a big, Smash-worthy villain for DK, so we have to look back to the past for that. At this point, K Rool is still the DK franchise's main villain, even if he wasn't featured in the last two platformers.
Again, I fail to see any other first party characters more important to Nintendo's history than K Rool. Maybe a Splatoon character since they are relevant right now, but that's it.

I think they already said they weren't going to show off Zelda U this year, but I think it needs to be shown, specially with the big ass delay it just got. Hell, its still TBD.

I'd be happy for Isabelle to be playable, though I don't honestly believe that being an assist is a good reason for them to not be playable now (then again I dislike Assist Trophies a lot so I'm perhaps a bit biased
)I thought with the big Ashley push during halloween they were maybe moving to make her more of a thing like Isabelle too but it's gone all quiet since the spooky holiday has passed so I guess it was just seasonal, even if her 3DS theme did outsell almost every other one by a large margin :3

The fact that Miyamoto didn't specify what platform Pikmin 4 is on leads me to believe it might be on NX. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped it on Wii U... it would just be a waste.
Also Sunshine HD would be fantastic. As long as they fix all the blue coin shit. 240 blue coins for 24 shines is insane.
And they can even use their weird bloom shit like they did for Wind Waker HD except it would actually work with Sunshine since that whole game feels like a sunny, hot, tropical vacation!

3D World was the most underwhelming non-NSMB Mario experience I have ever played. Meanwhile both Galaxies, 64, and Sunshine are phenomenal titles and Sunshine was the last of two open-world Mario games. It's been 13 years and Mario has only gotten more linear.
It is too early to announce the delay to 2017 so I doubt we will see it.
