Do you know how big this is gonna be? people still play Wii Sports on the Wii. A new version with online is gonna be massive.

This is gonna sell millions of Switch's and sell like fucking crazy.

This will be fun, yeah. I've been longing for something like that, so much that I actually hooked up my Wii U recently just to replay.

I feel like this should be released waaay long ago. Looks interesting, but not a fan of releasing the full content piece by piece.

You know they're out of ideas when they're recycling this. It was a fun novelty 15 years ago, but eh...

It doesn't even have actual controls still?

Those people already bought a Wii, and the Switch doesn't attract the same people. This is not gonna be nearly as big.

Nintendo have got to 100m consoles sold without a Wii Sports.

Today, Nintendo dropped the Oppenheimer with Switch Sports, which clears the way for Switch to be the best selling console of all time.

I wonder how this is gonna play, since the Switch doesn't have the same motion control capabilities that the Wii had (and the Switch Lite has none at all).

Pretty sure switch has the same or better motion controls than Wii, it's only missing the sensor bar for automatically recalibrating when pointing at the screen.
For Switch Lite I guess either a touch screen option like in 51 Worldwide game bowling or you have to purchase joy cons.

Weird that Table Tennis, Boxing and Baseball are missing.
I have All-In-One Sports VR so I'm not sure if I actually need this anymore.

I am unreasonably excited about this. I am 16 years older, but this will still be a blast with friends and beers. Hope they do massive marketing

Wtf is a yeeet?! My 6 year old kids say it all the time lol
I think it loosely represents excitement. I use it ironically, because I think it is a stupid word. These days though, stupid words are iconic to me and I use them to be funny. I guess I am the one getting played, haha.

Now back on the game; I can't believe there is no baseball. WTFrick. You got to have all of the originals NINTENDO! Geez. Still pumped.

Biggest news of the show for me. I miss the motion controlled Wii games so much. I'd love to get some of the Wii Play games back for that matter.

And on a related subject, while I'm glad to have this, I always thought Nintendo should release something like a Wii Mini that comes preloaded with a bunch of the games that really focused on the motion controls.

I like it. I think it will be great to have it again.

very funny to see how carefully they swung controllers and had limited arm motion. Wiimotes in tvs issues.

Looking at Ring Fit Adventure and the popularity and nostalgia of Wii Sports, it's hard not to expect massive numbers. Of course it's never gonna touch Wii Sports numbers, but that is because Wii Sports was built around the Wii.

I heard wii sports was bundled with the console outside Japan, that's why it 'sold' 80 million

Felt like a C-C-C-OMBO-BREAKER.
So many weapons in their arsenal. But this won't be as big a deal as the Wii version, no way right? Ring Fit kind of fit that casual void I thought.

It won't be AS big a deal because that initial novelty is gone, but it will still be absolutely massive. Not even a question that I'm picking it up personally.

The Switch has a massive user base, this will do pretty well imho, and it's tough to judge it with Wii sports, as that was free with the console in the west.

I was just expecting Nintendo to port Wii U sports club, never thought they would go this far, and the potential for adding different events is massive, I am also hoping for some sort of hub world inside and out of those cool looking venues, there looked to be a book/coffee and bowling shop, would be great to explore those.

BOWLING BABY. FUCK YEAH.
There is already a decent bowling sim in the Nintendo clubhouse games collection, and it plays pretty identical to the Wii sports game, but you just do not get the same sense of immersion as with the Wii sports game, it's the other lanes being used as you play, it just adds so much to the overall feel, more so in multi player mode. :)
