Just Story of Seasons for me this month. But it is more like next month...

Donkey Kong Country is so frustrating. Why was Snow Barrel Blast put into the game? It took me tens of times to beat it, and I only beat it when I accidentally found a barrel that skipped all the other barrels. It is worse than the Rocket Barrel levels in Returns.

You mean one of the best levels in the game? Cut it out with that blasphemy! There are few things more satisfying that blasting through those barrels on the first cycle.

There is a shortcut to complete the stage without effort.

Yeah, no. Snow Barrel Blast level is probably my least favorite level in the game. It presents such a huge difficulty spike that you can easily lose all your lives in it, so you're out of luck if you didn't save in the previous world. DKC's barrel sections just aren't very fun; way too punishing. Just one of the many reasons why DKC is inferior to DKC3.

Yeah, I accidentally used it when I miss-timed a barrel. I was getting the hang of the level (using save states at the checkpoint) but I was still relieved when I was able to skip all those barrels and bees.

Can't wait to get 3D Outrun this month. Probably will buy Codename Steam, just so I can get that pre-order Majora's Mask pin.

REALLY need to get back into Hyrule Warriors. I've barely touched the DLC (though last time, finally tried the Spinner via Link amiibo & found it fun), and Spring Break might be a good time to finally finish the main story.

Some people are guessing that Tropical Freeze might be one of the Platinum reward games for Club Nintendo next month. Granted, hard to say if it actually will or not, but I'm gonna wait & see.

so Donkey Kong WiiU worth it at US$35?
I got the physical game - just want to digitize my collection

Its worth it even at full price, but I'm not sure its worth $35 just to digitize the game, I'd personally wait for a deeper discount or sell my physical copy.

I think you need to go back to Cranky Kong boot camp! :D

The DKC barrel sections are brilliant. They're one of the highlights of the series because they're entirely unique and feel great. Like I said, going through those sections in one cycle is such a rush.

I'm still sitting on my Club Nintendo coins.

Current plan was to get Harmoknight, Dillon's Rolling Western 2, Donkey Kong 3 and Link's Awakening.

But I haven't pulled the trigger cause I kind of what that Xenoblade poster, but it's 700 coins and I don't care about the other two in the set.

Is there any information, when we're gonna get our Smash soundtrack CDs?

Noticed the bolded and had to say they are all great games :D. For the amount of coins they are worth, they are a great deal and offer lots of fun :D.

Got Links Awakening and Harmoknight codes off E-bay (man, they were quite cheap; 1.50 for the former and 5 bucks for the latter :D) and really enjoy both of them. The former is a fantastic Zelda adventure while the latter is a fun music platformer that is a bit like the Bit.Trip.Runner games (but with a cool look and a few Pokemon remixes thrown in :D).

Heard great things about Rolling Western 2, so that looks to be a good buy I think :). Hope this helps :).

Edit: Sorry to bother you all, but I have 230 coins (and about...30 more coming thanks to recently getting Sonic 1 3D and Shante & the Pirates Curse) and I'm wonder what games I should get. I own a few GB/GBC games (Wario Land 2, Mario Land 2, Metroid 2, DK94, Kirby Pinball and Kid Icarus 2) and by the time my last 30 coins come in, I can get a few E-Shop games with the coins (of the top of my head....I can get Rolling Western 1, any of the Brain Age games or something else), so any suggestions would be nice :).

Thats great for UK gamers :D, as the game is great (from what everyone said about the Wii version), so it is great to see Xenoblade get another shot at being a huge it with its N3DS version :).

The theme looks really nice and it is cool see the charger being included in the bundle (kinda beating a dead horse here, but still, great for new 3DS owners who never touched the 3DS brand before :D).

You've got a lot of the good ones already for sure. The original Zelda could be fun, although it is archaic and obtuse compared to Link's Awakening for example. I haven't played Mario vs. DK: Minis March Again!, but I think it's supposed to be better than the other MVDK game available on there, and I've read some very good things about it. It was very positively received:

Thank you for the suggestions :D....but I got Mini's March Again too (got that thanks to CN; had a lot of left over coins from redeeming Wii games I haven't regestered before).

Might get Rolling Western, Metroid (just to have it look nicely with Metroid 2) or something else. Thanks for the suggestions Maxcriden :D.

Speaking of games, I got so many games off E-Bay for great prices :D! Got 3D Land, Star Fox 3D, DKCR 3D, KI:Uprising and New Mario Bros. 2 for 10-20 bucks per game (a lot cheaper then their normal 30-40 dollar prices). Man, they are so fun to play and it feels great to catch up with games I missed out on in the past (got my 2DS in November for Smash....so outside of that, Kirby Triple Deluxe, Shinobi 3D, KH3D and MM3D, those are the only retail games I own).

Really impressed with how great DKCR runs on 3DS (love how I can finally use buttons for rolling; makes gameplay so much better), KI:Uprising controls very well (honestly surprised by this, as I heard horror stories on how horrid this game controls), NSMB2 is a lot more creative then I initially gave it credit for, SF3D is just beautiful to see (loved the original, so that looking so amazing is.....quite something to say the least) and 3D Land while easy, a very fun Mario (feels like a nice compromise between 64 and Galaxy's gameplay to me).

Edit: Decided on getting Sakura Samurai: Art of the sword with my coins, so thank you for the suggestions Maxcriden :).

I'm just glad I got so many games for my 2DS now, so I can enjoy the system even more then before :).

I really hope they start bundling amiibo with games that use them. A Shulk amiibo with the game would guarantee that many more sales of the game.

But isn't the idea that you buy the Amiibo with the game day-one? That isn't the best deal out there....but that has to be Nintendo's goal with the Amiibo (why else would they have 'short' demand for the things, to make more money). But still, that would be a great way to celebrate the game's launch, giving people who preordered the game or got that UK 3DS bundle a free or discounted Shulk amiibo.

Thinking of Amiibo; I wonder if 'Amiibos on card' will ever really happen or if it was another one of these 'Nintendo Promises' that just disappear. I want the benefits of Amiibo but I'm not a collector kind of guy and I don't want the plastic tat.

They could charge full price in addition to the game, and it'd still sell every bundle they made due to the scarcity issues currently.

Outside of Miyamoto originally mentioning it, it was also brought up at the recent investor meeting by Iwata. It's happening.

That is a good point too, as Nintendo really loves having their products being collectors items (....just look at the Amiibo issue :().

Haha I do think this'll happen, if only cus Amiibos are such a money machine. Watch as they inexplicably cost the same as the plastic toys!

Is it? I'm not trying to be difficult I genuinely don't know...

Yea, TVii for Europe was always just this quiet thing in the background and also just specific to one region. It basically existed as a note on a website that said it's still coming while everyone knew it was never gonna amount to anything given how the platform performed overall. Dual GamePads was in a similar way a thing everyone knew wasn't gonna happen based on platform sales and was never heard from again after the pre-release E3 where they mentioned that it's technically possible to do and that games would be made when it makes sense (which is never). Card amiibo are different in that they are a cheaper to produce and easier to distribute product variation of a hugely successful product line that will find a wide variety of usage across two platforms (probably more as I doubt future platforms would suddenly not support them).

Hmm, you make good points. Guess we'll find out in time anyway...

Just curious, why are you going all out digital on Wii U but not on 3DS? Isn't it better to carry your handheld around with all the games inside?

my brother owns a 3DS as well so we share the games - we can't do that on Digital so yea :/
