Uohhhh, thanks a lot! :)

(could you do it with the third-party titles of these systems or am I asking too much? :$)

Thank you very much :).
Yoshi Topsy Turvey is a bit too low position-wise.

Damn, DK: King of Swing and Trace Memory didn't do much at all.

I didn't know DK: King of Swing was out until I saw it in Wal-Mart. Did this get delayed? It feels like forever ago when I first heard about it.

I didn't know Yoshi: Topsy Turvy existed until I saw at GameStop.

Ninty's ignoring one of their pillars!

I think if a couple forum members did their part, we could have LTDs for every company. There are like, 20 companies reported every month and maybe 30 or so members can total up every month. I'm thinking of doing Capcom, myself.

I'm glad to see the Advance Wars series is still doing well, now on DS.

Advance Wars DS 2 w/ Wi-Fi Connection support...

MAKE IT HAPPEN NINTENDO.

These were the numbers Sonycowboy reported as of July:

METROID BONUS BUNDLE GCN NINTENDO OF AMERICA 4-Aug 339,228
MARIO KART BUNDLE GCN NINTENDO OF AMERICA 4-Nov 370,852
MARIO KART BONUS SET GCN NINTENDO OF AMERICA 4-Nov 473,096
MARIO SUNSHINE BUNDLE GCN NINTENDO OF AMERICA 2-Oct 625,811

You do know you're comparing an $8 demo disc that came out a year ago (or more? I forget -- and has since probably been discounted), to full-price new releases that have been out less than a month... don't you?

$8? I got mine for $10 while many places had it going for $50 since it wasn't supposed to be for resale.

Day-um. Look at that gap.

And yes, I'd like to give my thanks for this resource as well.

I'm surprised at how bad Warioware does as a series, at least in comparison to other Nintendo published titles. It's a shame considering it's one of the most exciting and innovative series that Nintendo's done for a long time.

Actually, I believe Wario Ware did great in Japan, and surpassed Mario 64 DS, the highest selling game at one point there.

These are September sales and XD's release date was October 4th. Only some Gamestops and EB Games actually had XD available for sale, and only for the last 1-3 days of September (depending on how near they were to a distributor, etc.).

On that note, I can't wait for October sales just to see what's going on with Nintendogs. (Even though I didn't buy it and won't until I can get it for $10-15, and maybe not even then.)
That and whether Meteos will get higher... Because really, as much as I love nearly every other Pokemon game, Dash outselling Meteos by more than 2:1 is a downright travesty.

it baffles me why Nintendo waited so long to release this series here.
Contrary to the misinformation spread by a certain winged avenger, it wasn't due to the ineptness pf NOA, but rather because NCL held the facist view that westerners didn't like turn based games. This information was divulged to Edge magazine in an interview with an IS higher up.

I don't get into these sales threads much so sorry if this is really obvious - are these world-wide sales or just US? LTD is life to date (at least it's the most fitting meaning out of the dozen or so that turn up at acronyfinder.com) so I can't tell if it is world-wide or not.

Edit: ok I guess going from error's post these are US numbers.

QFT, however to my knowledge, no one at NOA really fought it--partly because their localization plate is pretty full before all that's needed to convert a Fire Emblem title.

Touched hasn't done too bad. It'll probably do well over the holidays.

Boo! Where are the select Cube exclusive third parties/system comparisons? I miss Anti's thread.
Don't those usually show up in the actual NPD threads?

Do we expect Mario Kart DS > 1 million by 1/1/06?

No way! I think people are way overestimating MK & AC and the DS in general this holiday season. I think it'll be the PSP yeah but not for sure solidly cement itself as the king.

The only reason I don't think MKDS will reach 1M so quickly is because of the bundle.

AC sold over a million copies on the Gamecube without any online functionality. The game was just BEGGING for it, and now it finally receives online. I'm expecting brisk sales for this thing.

I agree that Mario Kart won't reach a million in a month and a half. I'm think 750,000 or so though :)

Even with the bundle sales it won't be near a million. Nope. I don't believe.

Ya but it only reached a million a couple of months ago after being out for 3 years. And will the ads for ACDS be anywhere as good and likable as for the GC version? It could be a longterm seller but I doubt it'll be frontloaded.

It's selling to the Nintendogs crowd. I'm not predicting a million in a month or something, but a good 350,000 should do the trick :D
