I bought day one and for me worth every penny, I'm having blast with Mario Kart, Bravely Default and Fantasy Life I and soon Donkey Kong Bananza. It's a lot of money to play Mario Kart. Yeah, there's the GameCube shit but the fact that they're gatekeeping that stuff from being playable on the Switch 1 is fucking lame. Shove the $80 first party games, too. Huge turn off.
Ah yeah the old Wii trick that they pulled. They went all in with Wii U and where did that get them eh…probably controlling the stock to show "demand hype" lol
yes they should harv sells 30 millions in first 3 weeks annnnd 100 millions by end of year oohoohooI mean selling 3.5m units in 4 days then 1.5m units in the next 3 weeks shows demand(cough cough "supply problems") dipped
Probably right to get out in front of the problem and act like demand is still at a fever pitch
This guy is just a troll. Interested to see his reason for a "ban" someday soon.its... available almost everywhere? what kind of shit the author of this article is smoking ?
The only place where it probably can't be found is the Japanese exclusive version of the Switch 2, because it's much cheaper than the standard global version. Maybe the US in some areas too.
More value without Nintendo games for those wanting to play them? Hmm...That's ok. There are other devices readily available that offer more value.
??? I've opened amazon just now to check, and both versions are available. The console is widely available. Nintendo came prepared for this launch.
Well, it is a typical Nintendo strategy so wouldn't surprise me.probably controlling the stock to show "demand hype" lol
Nintendo Switch 2 Console + Mario Kart World BundleAmazon doesn't even sell Switch 2.
Who cares

Not just middle east in the UK as well as Europe they do sell switch 2.Looks like Amazon Middle East has plenty of Switch 2 guys.

Maybe in the USA they don't? I do remember there being some weird spat between nintendo and Amazon.
It's not in stock in right now on Amazon UK, but they definitely do sell it.It looks like they sell S2 stuff on Amazon UK but I don't see the system.

You can order from very right nowAnyone else in the UK want to add how incredibly easy it is to get one over there? Since Amazon just happened to be out this morning
You can order from very right now
Obviously you lol..Who cares
So basically anecdotal subjective nonsense that is not indicative of any region as a whole. In effect my local store has them so they are everywhere lol...In Japan yea. In the US you can walk into a store and buy it just fine.
I don't believe that the ease of obtaining something indicates a lack of demand. It looks like they sell S2 stuff on Amazon UK but I don't see the system. At this point I'm pretty sure all the "u can just walk in n buy one" comments are from countries Nintendo hardly even counts sales? I mean JP, EU, NA are the real hotbeds or "battleground markets".
The crazy thing is. If Nintendo made TWENTY MILLION and 1 million were left on the shelf. People would say "lol its so easy to get, no demand it sucks". if they sold every last unit, yes ALL 20, then people would go "lol evil Nintendo supply blocked u to create fomo". There is literally nothing they can do, the same people would flip just to complain. While the facts are completely irrelevant (see: today)
Switch actually compliments other systems really well since it has the least amount of overlap.
I have had no invitations that I set up before the Switch launch. So does my purely subjective anecdotal evidence counter yours. Is it hard to find? I've lost count of how many invitations to buy that I received from Amazon.
Me. I got one, but my son wants one desperately for his birthday. So, I'm wiping mine and reboxing mine for him.Who cares
Oh, good. Please show me the link where I can get one that isn't from a scalper.its... available almost everywhere? what kind of shit the author of this article is smoking ?
Argos and shopto aren't forcing bundles.Well that's better than over here where it's non-existent online. Is it normal for them to force bundles on you over there, or is that just the last retailer with stock because they force bundles lol
Not in the US
Last I checked more have been sold in the Americas than Japan, but this 'scarcity to drive hype' bullshit narrative needs to come to an end; just wait for the spin cycles to hit overdrive when June's numbers are released.Which store? None available in my area.
I think price is somewhat of a deterrent at least here in Canada. You end up spending over $800 on the Mario Kart bundle after taxes. That's almost $600 usd before any extra games or accesories. There is some sticker shock going on for sure.Clearly the scarcity isn't true across the board. Seems that in the US, the console is extremely hard to find, but is in other countries. Makes me wonder if those countries are oversupplied or just not as much demand as in the US.
I got mine late on the day of release right off the shelf with no issue. However, I've been looking for a second pretty much since then with no luck.I thought the Switch 2 was surprisingly easy to purchase. Yes, it sells out quick online but those online stores usually get new stock a few days later.
If people can walk into any store and get one then how is Nintendo pushing FOMO?Can walk into any store and buy one, Nintendo trying to push FOMO to get people to buy this beta version with a poor screen. Ill wait for the OLED.
First world problemsMe. I got one, but my son wants one desperately for his birthday. So, I'm wiping mine and reboxing mine for him.
I'm in the middle of Bravely Default and looking forward to DK, but I can't find another Switch 2 anywhere.
I got some long plane rides coming up and I'm going to have to just play my SteamDeck or Switch 1 like some asshole.
