Nintendo Switch 2 likely to remain scarce until next spring: analysts

First world problems
Whatever. It's pretty serious man.

I'm flying to Mexico to go to an all-inclusive resort for a week. I'll be sitting in first-class. Do you realize how embarrassing that is to not have the latest gaming handheld for that three hour flight??

Not to mention, I usually wake up a couple hours before my wife and game on our deck by the pool while the sun comes up. Now, I might not being doing that playing Donkey Kong Bananza like I planned.

Don't act like you can possibly understand what I'm going through.

??? I've opened amazon just now to check, and both versions are available. The console is widely available. Nintendo came prepared for this launch.

Wrong. Amazon doesn't even list the Switch 2 in my country (USA).

Every brick and mortar store in any mile radius I search is out of stock and no new stock is forecast.

I hate when people think their anecdotal evidence is globally factual. Piss off with that nonsense.

Your country (USA) in this case is the exception.

I mean selling 3.5m units in 4 days then 1.5m units in the next 3 weeks shows demand(cough cough "supply problems") dipped

Probably right to get out in front of the problem and act like demand is still at a fever pitch
Yes that must be the reason.......... Yawn. ;)

Link? I thought Amazon was no longer even selling them.

Edit: europeans, most people don't care what stock levels are like in your tiny country

Cause if you crunch his numbers, selling 1.6 million in 20 days isn't impressive.

EDIT- Let me just say it's been absolute pleasure squashing these gnats. 5.1 million (and maybe more) units. In June...AKA, about as FAR AWAY from Christmas as it gets on the calendar. And they've taken up the mantle of trying to downplay these HISTORIC numbers. Keep it up, Sony ponies. Never change.

The pure entertainment value provided by these clowns is unprecedented. ;)

Is it actually selling like crazy? I only question this because hardly any of the normie's seem to be talking about it like they did when the OG released.

The few at work that have stated they can't bankroll it LOL

Pretty big exception, and it's not just the US.

Nintendo's sales market breaks down roughly to...

1/3 Japan - severely supply constrained, still holding lotteries
1/3 US - supply constrained with new units trickling out to stores on occasion. Not sure how constrained the supply is, metropolitan areas like mine have none in stock anywhere, where some people in rural areas say their stores have some units.
1/3 Rest of the world - seems to not be very supply constrained, but probably depends on country and where in the country

So at least 2/3 of Nintendo's market is pretty heavily supply constrained .

Oh, it's actually starting to run out in Sweden as well. It was available in 60 stores at launch at Elgiganten and now it's down to 6. Didn't expect that considering the price gouging going on here.

The US and Japan are the top two biggest countries for dedicated gaming console sales, especially for Nintendo.
Switch sales numbers LTD
US = 48 million units
Japan = 37.2 million units

sell more in 3 day thens switch 1 annnnd ps5 in 1 months

I walked into a Gamestop and picked on up no problem two weeks after it released. It is readily available.
I'm not sure why people feel the need to take their one anecdotal experience and make sweeping broad statements about availability, especially in light of people clearly indicating contrary experiences in this very thread

as people have mentioned in the thread, stock isn't readily available for most people in the USA

Ranks right up there with the old........... I saw a Switch 2 in my local stores display box so these must be available everywhere. The reasoning behind this wild assumption is mind boggling

Nintendo creating artificial scarcity? They would never use such vile tactics! They totally didn't do that with Mario 3D All-stars!
The pulled the old Disney VHS tape trick from back in the 90s with that one. Putting their own shit out of print until the holidays to drum up sales of The Jungle Book or whatever.

You do have to feel for these deluded people. They were predicting a Wii U style bomb with the Switch 2.............. Now that is clearly not going to happen their only way of coping is to resort to rubbish like this.

You guys are something else. How did you go from "I walked into a Gamestop and picked one up" to "Fanboys want this to fail ala Wii-U". LOL. Hilarious. I got the Mario Kart Bundle, which seems to be available at Gamestop in Canada quite frequently. I paid about 790 for it with tax. Do you want me to post a photo or something? I noticed my local Best Buy also has them available... So no this isn't some anecdotal evidence. Does your Uncle work for Nintendo or something? Imagine being this much of a fan drone. This console is much more available than the original Switch ever was, which is good for the consumer.

Nintendo fans are starting to attack another Nintendo fans it seems.

Anyway, there's no stock issues here in Australia. Europe receives the regular restock but the major issues are in the US and Japan.
