Just keep in mind that each of those ports is rumoured to have a substantial amount of brand new content. Emily Rogers said half new content, half old content though I doubt that was meant literally.
None of them is true.
People are going to get totally disappointed and underwhelmed, it's not even Nintendo's fault.
It came out over 1.5 years ago in Japan, so yeah, plenty feasible to have something to show if they want to.
my launch day plans:
cheapest console SKU which I'm guessing is $250
3D Mario
Pro Controller
that's all I need

Anyone else think we might see a mainline Fire Emblem game show up at the January presentation, or E3?
I mean, thinking about it, Fire Emblem Fates was released back in the summer of 2015. Should be enough to at least show a teaser trailer, right? Nintendo is planning on releasing a Fire Emblem app for smart phones, and it could coincide with a real game.

It's only been about a year since X released but maybe they could do a teaser or something, I just wouldn't expect something like gameplay however.

Oh btw I don't think I ever properly introduced myself. Hey GAF, I got accepted a while ago and I'm super hyped for the Switch. Hope to get to enjoy it along with all of you wonderful people.
They would be fools to not port Sonic Mania. Their fanbase is on Nintendo, and even Project Sonic 2017 is already announced for it.
I really do not think this to be the case.I think it likely, even if it's not there at launch. It's probably safe to assume that most, if not every, mobile Nintendo game will have a Switch counterpart within a reasonable window of the mobile release.
Obviously Super Mario Run will be available day one
When was that first Fates trailer relative to Awakening?Waaaaay too early. There was three years between Awakening and Fates, and they worked on Fates DLC after the release.

That would mean a Fire Emblem for Switch next Spring which is way too soon. Same goes for Animal Crossing, unless New Leaf+ is being ported over.

FEA came out in May of 2012 I believe. Fate's first trailer was back in January 2015.
Okay. Unless it's fast tracked then or a super early trailer, January 2017 seems too early. I was thinking the trailer was further back for some reason.Fates was announced in January 2015, and Awakening was back in the pre-TGS 2011 conference. Four years between them, but it shouldn't take as long this time (as the production on Fire Emblem must have doubled down now). But don't expect anything this january.
Why are you making launch day plans when we have nothing but a few rumors lol.

I just played a few levels of Yoshi's Woolly World, and it reminds me, whats Good-Feel been up to, anyway?
YWW came out back in June 2015. Now, unlike someone like Monolith Soft, Good-Feel's games tend to be smaller scale affairs. How long do their games take to make? I remember Woolly World was announced back in January 2013, literally over two years before it actually came out, but that was probably just because Nintendo desperately needed something to show off in their emergency Direct there, sort of like SMT X FE (which came out as Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE).
Do we know who's handling the 3DS port?
They take long ass times, Yoshi's Wooly World took them five years or something like that.
IIRC, Yoshi was announced at the same time as XCX and came out the same year. It's insane that it took that long and it flew under the radar.Damn. Didn't know they were that big affairs.

What third party games you would buy if they announce it for Nintendo Switch?
Thanks, BDGAME.
SwitchGAF is where it's at...
Good-Feel have also made four Streetpass games(the best ones arguably) and helped with Mario and Luigi: Dream Team this generation.
Anything worth mentioning from the past week? Other than the Pokémon Stars rumor and Splatoon being a pack-in game?
Would it be a surprise if I tell you about Raving Rabbids ?
