I'm probably gonna drive by best buy at like 10PM tomorrow and just see how crazy the line is. if it doesn't look ridiculous then I'll probably tough it out in line. I assume best buy will be getting way more stock than gamestops, at least that's what my experiences have been in the past. If that fails, I'm probably fucked for getting one at launch, although I guess I could swing over to line up at a target or something but that's probably what everyone who misses the best buy ones will do.

Best Buy:
Switch - Charged + Shipped
Pro Controller - Charged + Shipped

Amazon:
Zelda - Charged
Hori Tough Case - Says it's arriving on Friday but no charge

I've preordered a Wii U and PS4 Pro there and both times it worked out fine. Preordered the original PS4 and Xbox One from Amazon and both of those worked out fine as well. From what I've seen recently, Best Buy will set aside your order and place a sticker with your name on it which should reserve it for you for a week after launch day.

I've only had something like that happen once, with an order I placed for last Christmas. In the course of a day I got messages saying it would be delayed, that it would ship soon, that it had already arrived, and that it would arrive on time the next day, in that order. But that was the only time out of maybe 100 orders.

Switch and all Amiibos shipped from Amazon, but got an update shortly after that it ended up at an incorrect shipping center and may be delayed. :/

I requested Friday off of work, so if I don't get it on the 3rd I'm gonna just die probably.

Zelda BotW special edition without the Master Sword statue has not shipped yet, though.

Still waiting here, Amazon prime member, had to pay 15 bucks on top of that to get priority, Did I mention 15 bucks each for the Switch and Zelda, thankfully the prime pre order saving pretty much paid for the shipping.

Is there any hope for me? I wasn't going to get a switch but recently started dating a mom with kids who I've known since birth and they both game. So now I'd love for them to have one but everything seems sold out!

Well well my charging grip finally shipped.

So all my shipping orders from Best Buy are locked in and now just waiting for my case from Amazon....

It won't. I contacted Amazon earlier today to apply some gift card credit after seeing the reports here about it possibly delaying your order if done manually. In that same chat, I casually asked about the shipping status on my order and they assured me it would arrive Friday no matter what. As extra assurance, they upgraded my shipping speed to next day delivery.

It's been a couple hours since then and my order is now displaying as "Preparing for shipment."

Sorry to derail a bit. But can someone link me to usb cable that works for switch charging?

Oh, and nothing shipped yet. Though I do have a $1 pending charge from amazon. Not sure if its related.

My Zelda Master Edition on Amazon finally moved to "Preparing for Shipment". No change on the Switch and Bomberman yet but this is a good sign.

No action from Best Buy, still in preparing, hopefully it's an overnight ship tomorrow but in my area that usually means a late afternoon delivery the day of.

Got my message from Best Buy saying Zelda shipped. But Amazon has been silent on Zelda. It's been saying Friday for the past couple of days and yet it's yet to actually have shipped. I have to be somewhere Saturday and I'd really like to bring my Switch with me.

This is genuinely concerning me at this point. They charged me for 1-2 Switch yesterday, and I got charged for the Switch itself at 7 this morning. It's been 10 hours and it still says "preparing to ship".

Like, I want to trust Amazon but if it's not on a vehicle by tomorrow I won't see it before next week, and I don't even have the option to cancel and try my luck elsewhere at that point.

Welp just talked to amazon and they say that my order is currently unavaliable and will ship in 3-4 business days when they restock...WHAT. I ordered this in the middle of the night as soon as they went up.

Zelda still "Not Yet Shipped" on my end. After Amazon messed up my Bakemonogatari Vol 2 order just yesterday, I'm very worried about Zelda. At the very least, if they do fuck it up that's two orders in a row and I SHOULD be able to get CSR to give me something besides a month of prime, I guess.

My GameStop order is proceeding as they've said so far, so it should ship tomorrow and get here Friday. I did notice that they're charging me $340 instead of the $320 I agree too, but I'm gonna wait until the thing has shipped to make a stink about that.

Haven't gotten any indication from gamestop that my order exists. No charge on cc, no shipping notification (obviously), nothin'.

Can't get a hold of their customer service either (aside: does gamestop actually have customer service?)


It's too bad they aren't a seller on amazon or ebay, I would relish giving out the 1 star rating.

You won't be able to return the Amazon one to Best Buy. They will scan the serial number upon checkout and won't let you return one they didn't sell.

My case actually arrived yesterday, which gave me my first real hands-on with the size of the unit, at any rate. But then I was too busy playing Horizon after that...
