Any help. Got it on Steam and upon startup it just says the following.
Either Steam isn't running or you don't have a suitable license.

Seriously? You can't even see it in the game itself, so how is it a spoiler.
So you can't add more slots to your multi tool? I'm at the compare screen between two multi tools, one has 5 slots (mine) , one has eight slots (new one) , but the new one has additional slots faintly in the back ground. Why is that?
At the space station get close to the sphere terminal thing sticking out of the wall. You can sell and buy stuff there. So what should i actually do in the first 2 - 3 hours ?
i hate my inventory so definitely looking for a drop pod is important, but beside that, what else ? i cant find any vendor to sell my resource to, the closest space station dont have any merchant, just an alien that want to teach me their language and my inventory is now full..
should i just find another planet ?
i mean, im stuck.. or am i doing something wrong ?

How do you folks track this stuff down thoughDisappointed that reviewers aren't talking about this,
.Theres is an interesting side story thread if you keep finding these..I've found three logs so far that seemingly connect.
That and the mysterious history lessons/lore you get from the monoliths... All I see is people doing the "grind loop" I search this stuff out.
Unfortunately I feel the same way.Bored already, 5 hours in. Won't be playing this again until theres some huge updates.
It's a spoiler because you're not supposed to know who or what you are. Are you human, alien, something else entirely? That's supposed to be a mystery, something you can only find out by seeing another player. Which it doesn't seem like you can do yet, but again, it's just something that's meant to be a mystery, and now that has been ruined.
Just search for the proper things you need to fix your ship up and get off the planet. Then just go after as many question marks on planets as you can for a bit. Dont worry about making money until you can get to space and visit the space station. So what should i actually do in the first 2 - 3 hours ?

I already tagged it, I already apologized for it (hereby again), no need to insult me.
Like I said, I'm new here, but I would assume minor spoilers are a part of official threads to keep discussions going?

If they ever patch in that you can see another player, they will probably chance the models also. So then you have a new mystery. If it ever happens. It's a spoiler because you're not supposed to know who or what you are. Are you human, alien, something else entirely? I ran into a few of those already. Just go for the question marks that show up and fly around. There are a lot of outposts on the planets I have been to.How do you folks track this stuff down though
You didn't do it right then. It's still 100% visible right on the page where you posted it.
And sure, spoilers are inevitable even in non-spoiler threads, but then you spoiler tag! Oh well, better luck next time.
You are a lego dwarf dude.
Congrats it's fucking nothing. I cringed so hard at reading this. Nothing has been ruined. How you look is completely irrelevant because outside of someone data mining it you would never be able to see how you look.
Also it is a FIRST PERSON GAME. Who gives a shit how the player model looks. I could be a donkey. Would that change anything when I'm playing the game? I mean I guess I would question the sanity of the aliens if they would talk with a donkey but that is about it.
Ye. Its a common one.Anyone else experiencing a glitch where when you launch your ship it instantly flies into outer space? Shit is annoying
It ruins the mystery of who you, the player, are in all this. I may not know that anyway, but at least now I can rule many possibilities out based on just what I saw. I don't know if the game will even reveal it, but I was looking forward to finding out. Or not. The point is that I previously knew nothing about all that, and now I know more than I wanted to. But oh well.
It has happened to me a couple times and yeah, it's pretty annoying :/Anyone else experiencing a glitch where when you launch your ship it instantly flies into outer space? Shit is annoying
I've been duping a bit and got a 34 ship, I'm going to find wreck ships to get a 48 slot one eventually. I have like 5 mil on me at the moment so I should be set for awhile.
Well I removed the picture now, lol, so if it's still visible it's probably a cache problem.

I don't know if people were still looking for these, but I've just landed on a planet with both zero plant and animal life.
One other annoying thing.
Some points of interest that I already found and exhausted still show up on my HUD and when I go to them they're already used up.
Monuments are one of them. I go to them, learn the languages and the special Q&A thing and leave, but when I hit the scan button, the monument still shows up on my HUD and doesn't look any different then other monuments I haven't explored yet.
It's make it difficult to differentiate the ones I already visited vs. the ones I haven't visited yet.
Probably just a bug though?
So those waypoint stations (where the camera zooms right out) - what are they actually for? As far as I can tell they just highlighted a single location on the planet.

I think you might have missed the galactic trade terminals. There is one every space station, as well as one in every planetside base that has a spaceship landing pad. They kinda look like big metallic eyeballs built into the wall. Sometimes you'll even find one just chilling as a waypoint out in the middle of nowhere.
All space station have a merchant in the form of a Galactic Trade terminal.
It's a big metal machine on the wall with a blue light in the middle.
They usually have terminals that give out blueprints too.
Some of the buildings on planets have trade terminals too
You can also walk directly up to any space ship, whether in a space station hangar or on a planetary landing pad, and interact with it to trade directly with the owner of the ship.

EDIT: I literally put spoiler tags around it, what else do I have to do?
It might not be the player model. For info. I'm Datamining the game, there's lots of stuff they haven't used.
So you must touch the screen to shoot?Don't have my control so I've only played with my Vita so far, L/R2 are the top corners of the touch screen while L/R3 are the bottom corners.
Fantastic video. Fucking truth right there.
Reposing on new page so more people will watch it. This is games journalism I like.
This game needs to stop flinging me off the planet when I take off, it's super annoying. Anyone else getting this bug?
I've literally just spent an hour mining gold...
Not that I would say that the quality of game design and gameplay mechanics is on par with the other games. He was specifically talking about just walking around in the forests of Tamriel or just riding your horse to Mexico in RDR, the lonely silent times. The whole "walk in the woods" aspect of those games was appealing and NMS has that sense about it for sure. The thing about those other games in comparison to NMS is they actually had strong gameplay and narratives that hooks the player as well as a world worth exploring and losing yourself in.
I'm not sure NMS has either as I would expect a lot of players to become incredibly bored after about a week's worth of time exploring it's samey 18 quintillion planets.
on ps4
Not that far in, paid 2.3mil, doesn't have a super big inventory but I'm loading it all up with weapons and shields anyway.
What you're looking for depends on what you want to do, if you want to prioritize cargo space, a better hyperdrive than you have, pre-installed weapons, etc.
This perfectly describes how I feel about the game.
It does an amazing job of letting you role play in this vast universe in a fun and meditative way.

Ive already put more hours into NMS than I have most games in the last few years. Its doing something right and that video does a great job of explaining why someone like me loves it.
