"No one wants Horizon Remastered or a Lego game"

Fucking sick and tired of these pointless remasters... Should be illegal to remaster a game unless it came minimum 2 gens before.

In a time that any new game takes 6 years to be made, we spend years and years remastering games that are available and play (and look) absolutely fine...

I have the physical version of Horizon Zero Dawn and the Frozen Wilds DLC bought, yet the 10$ upgrade isn't available for me, even with the disc inserted on the PS5. What gives? The option to upgrade it for 10$ will be only available at launch?

"No one" seems to be a lot of people indeed. I'm glad the franchise keeps on picking up.

I do find it odd that so many people in here seem to be interested in a franchise they don't like being popular. I would have thought that if they weren't interested in the game then they wouldn't talk about it at all. It's almost like conginitve dissonance.

So they were listening to "data" when they made Concord and Outlaws and suicide squad ? ... I personally think their "data" system is completely broken this gen.. and listening to gamers, even neogaf incels, just a little probably would be a good thing.
I agree. But you cant disagree that wanting to get on the live service games sounds "right". I personally believe that it never was in their DNA to do so, though Helldivers proved us wrong

If you starve your players long enough they will buy anything you feed them, Sony masterminds at it once more.

Its not just about their gaas initiative... its everything imo .. outside their second/third party deals with asia developers wich have been carrying the ps5 this gen . Their first party output its just awful, even the sequels we got were mostly subpar. Their western branch its just not delivering imho. They are lost.

Except Astrobot.. astrobot its my goty. No suprise it came from the only japan studio.

First time on Gamepass. I know nobody is rushing out and buying an xbox for "free" COD but with the offer also on PC it has to have some sort of effect, even a little bit. Lots of folks have more than one platform already.

Going to be interesting seeing what transpires, if anything.
Oh I see. I forgot about that. It will be interesting to see what type of effect that has. I will be surprised if those who mostly play COD will convert to Game Pass because I think what they pay yearly right now for COD should be less than what Game Pass will cost them overall but perhaps with their new tiers and pricing it's closer in price? I'll have to calculate that to see but yeah I get what you are saying now.

Western devs in general are in a dry period. I agree, japanese studios lead the industry

If you already have an Xbox its much more cost effective to sub to gamepass. In fact if you only game on Xbox and don't have GP then I'd say your doing it wrong ( not you personally obviously).

PC is a bit different economically as you don't need gold to play of course. Off topic though, sorry for the derail folks.

The people who enjoy hzd, is it like the general mass casual audience? Like ubisoft/asscreed enjoyers? I tried to play it before and couldnt get into it. Wanted to, cuz the setting n all that but played soooo basic.

Maybe it just isn't for you. Nothing wrong with that and there's no point in forcing yourself to like something.

For the record I love remasters but you can have horizon and last of us remaster, games made after 2015 shouldn’t be remastered yet. I think remakes are even better.

I don't mind if they remaster games or not. I played it on the PS4 Pro at the end of the last generation and couldn't do with the 30 fps so I decided to wait until the PS5 released to give it another go incase we got a 60fps patch.
I guess I would've paid 10 bucks to play it remastered for the PS5 if I hadn't already played the 60fps patched version

"No one asked for..." is dumb af.

I'm sure no one ever asked for Maruchan chicken ramen flavored Funyuns either but when I saw a them at Costco I bought a bag without even thinking twice :messenger_savoring:
Little secret, you can also find pringles sour cream and onions flavoured noodles...

Industry is in shambles but they have time and money to waste on these games.

Sony , other than astrobot, i played better games from third parties. You suck

Dragon Ball doing amazing numbers! I'm inclined on getting it but I'll wait to see more about the online connectivity and other stuff. I miss the Tenkaichi combat so much but I don't want to jump the gun and regretting it.

I mean, if he likes funyons flavoured noodles, that looks like the natural evolution :lollipop_squinting:
Yeah I can see that. I was at a gas station on Monday and I saw Funyuns flavor potato chips. I didn't try them because whatever they put in the seasoning makes my tongue swell.

I actually think I’d like the lego game. Remasters are unnecessary as a whole for me.
Even the most beloved Bloodborne doesn’t need a remaster. It just needs a 60fps update and a PC port.

I also don’t preorder games as all my trust for any game working as intended on day one is long gone. And I also don’t feel the rush/need to play something asap.

Horizon is honestly more elevated than most of the post-Black Flag Assassin's Creeds IMO.

But yes, it's a general mass casual audience that likes it.

Are pre-orders a good indicator of midterm sells? I can see the initial sales window (first week or 2) being relatively high, but the rest...not some much.

Also whats the average ratio of pre-orders vs day one sales for most games?

I ask these questions because i can imagine 10,000 people who were really anxious to get the game but then see sales tank immediately after because the general population dgaf.

With that said, i see the lego game outselling the remake.

It's always been like this for some reason. If you own a physical game that has an upgrade coming out, you need to wait until it's released. You can't pre-order with the disc in because it's a different version.

Will play LEGO Horizon on my PS Protal just because why not.

HZD doesn't need a remaster, but iut's a $10 upgrade for the majority of people and it will do just fine.

Boy, the drama threads are always something.

Thank you for the reply. I remember that also happened to me for The Last of Us - Part 2 Remastered. So that's Sony MO for physical version remastered upgrades.
