Just saw this powerball simulator on reddit. Yup, I'm going on 37 years and haven't hit more than 3 numbers (without the Powerball). That RNG is too good.
How much money does the owner of the store get where the winning ticket is bought?
I'm surprised that to get the jackpot up faster, they haven't increased the payout for the smaller prizes.
Matching 4 numbers only get someone $100. 3 numbers. Only $7.
How many minutes from now is the draw? I'm on the West Coast.
I didn't buy a ticket. I'll buy one next time.
You'd be taking less overall then.
If you did a present value calculation for your future cash flows, you'd find out it would be less than the current lump sum. This is all based off the interest rate fluctuations being similar to the past. Take the lump sum, just invest in index funds and you'll be fine. Simplest way to be rich for generations.

This is amazing for perspective. After 60 years and 6207 drawings. I never got more than 3 white balls to match. Crazy.Just saw this powerball simulator on reddit. Yup, I'm going on 37 years and haven't hit more than 3 numbers (without the Powerball). That RNG is too good.
But when you eventually win, you'll be way out of debt.im at 80k years and still havent got the last two. Im like 16 million in debt.

Did you hit a cap on the 'Continuous' multiplier? I stopped at 100 and I'm 3400 years so far. Oh and I've hit 4 white twice, that's it. Yuck.im at 80k years and still havent got the last two. Im like 16 million in debt.
True but I don't need *that* much money. Getting a 10 million dollar allowance a year is more than enough then having to deal with $400 million at once. Less chance of a backstabbing lawyer or family member. According to my irrational logic :
If it starts with 2 im quitting my job immediately cuz one number = 10 million.........right
Is this for real? I never knew that.
is there a live stream online for the drawing
So his calculator using math is wrong because of your anecdotal story?Meh, this simulator kinda blows, I wasn't that insanely lucky to win $100 four years ago on a Powerball ticket I asked for on accident. Granted the matrix is different now but still.
The numbers will be on Twitter within seconds.is there a live stream online for the drawing
Is this for real? I never knew that.
I would, but 4 weeks from now after I've moved away.Who's going to be brave enough if they win to post a picture of the ticket?
Same here!!cross my fingers for money for us.
